On opening the front door, this huge, beautifully renovated and appointed apartment far exceeded our expectations. The sheer size of the apartment was so unexpected. It was huge and even though there were only the 2 of us, it was great value for money. We loved its modern facilities like the brand new kitchen, the washing machine and the dishwasher but it still had lots of charm and warmth from the exposed walls and wooden floors. All the thoughtful extras were a lovely touch too. We were lucky enough to find a parking spot just around the corner, although a small car would definitely fit through the front garage doors and park easily in the huge vacant area on the ground floor of the building (ours didn't fit through the doors although the owner offered the space as "free private parking is possible on site (reservation is needed)".

Excellent one-night stay! The house is gorgeous and well maintained. I especially appreciated the jacuzzi bath after a long day cycling in the region, and the view onto the mountains is breathtaking. You can dip your feet (or more if you're adventurous!) in the stream across the street. Accommodating hosts and my only regret is that I couldn't stay longer! Would recommend hands down.

What a lovely self-contained rustic-style cabin right in the town. Pierre and Anais made everything as comfortable as possible for us. The large covered deck almost doubled our living, perfect if you're a family. It was quiet, bright and airy and the air-conditioning was very welcome in the heatwave, 35°.

I arranged the place half an hour before arriving. So when I arrived they didn't even have my booking yet in their system. Luckily there was someone in the building, who made some calls and I had my place in minutes. It was a rather large place for a solo traveller, so the price can be justified considering that (it wasn't the one in the pictures, it was in fact bigger and nicer. Two couples could easily stay). Everything was clean and tidy. Kitchen had everything you may need. Wireless worked good. There's parking right across the road.

    Laruns is a charming village in the Ossau valley.

    Laruns is a charming village in the Ossau valley. It's an ideal base for exploring the Béarn area of the Pyrenees, and a centre for many outdoor activities, and has a good selection of eateries. We went there for the petit train d'Artouste and a stage of the tour de France, and discovered a gem, to which we will be returning.

    It was an adventure trip in deep winter, so we expected some road setbacks. I imagine great views in the summer too. Actually I booked this for my daughter, Gabriela. I was not there personally. And I am reflecting her reviews ( sent questions to her )and I am posting her answers.

    Amazing and super friendly staff (didn't book in advance for dinner and even though the restaurant of the hotel was fully booked the owner found us a table which was super appreciated); located in the cute town centre and some hikes are directly accessible (walking distance) from there. Great stay.

    Our expectations were exceeded by this hotel. The room was spacious, had everything you'd need, also a balcony. The food is absolutely delicious with 3 options for starter and 3 for main (dinner) and the personel being very attentive to our needs. Would definitely go back!

    Comfortable Well-equipped apartment. Laurence was very helpful and welcoming. She spoke good English which was a big help. Laruns is a nice town and a good base for exploring the vallee d'osssau...and the area around col D'aubisque.
