Ideal location, right in front of the (free) shuttle stop for the castle. Definitely the best option for hotels in the area. The breakfast was superb, lots of tasty options (fresh bread, fruit, eggs, pancakes, different types of cakes etc). The room was spacious and very clean.

The location was great and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Tea and coffee was a nice touch, it's the little things that make the stay enjoyable. The bathroom and shower was spotlessly clean. Our little dog was welcomed by the staff.

After reading mixed reviews about the hotel and knowing its an old building I wasn’t expecting too much but we booked a suite for one night and it was exceptional. A extremely modern, spacious suite with an amazing bathroom. the large windows allowed for superb views out over the bay and the room was very soundproof. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant that evening and the staff were very friendly and helpful, as we do not speak any French. Staying on Mont saint Michel was a definite highlight of our trip.

The place is magical and very special.

The place is magical and very special. Enjoyed walking around the village and also on the grounds as well. The people there were very kind and welcoming. If staying on the island itself everything does close around 6-7pm and most of the tourists leave. This is a great time to go walking around taking photos and just enjoying the atmosphere. Most places don’t open the next morning til around 10-11am so don’t expect an early breakfast. Just an fyi, if you’re taking the train and the bussing system, you’ll have to walk across the bridge to the village on the other side. It took me 40 minutes(with luggage) to get to the bus stop. The Abbey itself is beautiful and it took me about 2 hrs to get through. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I look forward to returning one day with my family.

A must-see on the northern Normandy/ Brittany border.

A must-see on the northern Normandy/ Brittany border. Explore the twisty, narrow, steep streets. Step back in time with a visit to the abbey and enjoy delicious seafood- moules frites- overlooking the bay. Highly recommend

We arrived in late afternoon at hotel and toured island first in evening hours - great idea as less crowded and still light enough to wander the streets and alleys. Toured the abbey the next morning - around 11. Already getting crowded - should have started earlier. But well organized and flows well within the Abbey. Well worth the visit to see this unique and historic structure - magical.

A mesmerizing place that provides delights at every turn. This place is not recommended for people with mobility issues. Not only is it geared for people with the stamina to climb stairs and rather steep roads but the oppressive crowds make maneuvering, even for the able-bodied, difficult. Particularly avoid visiting in July and August, if you must gear your visit to the early morning or the evening when the tour bus crowds are away.

One of the most beautiful locations of the French seaside,...

One of the most beautiful locations of the French seaside, matched with one of the most spectacular Castle/Abby I have ever encountered. I would place this even with Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria. If you drive to the hotel, avoid the initial parking lot and call ahead to receive the code for your stay. You will be able to park much closer to your hotel room.

The island is absolutely streaming with tourists during the day, so it was better to be able to spend a night with fewer people around. The room was lovely, old but well maintained and comfortable - we opted for a bay view which was worthwhile. Ate at the hotel restaurant, which was above average despite being very busy. Unique island, great to see. Watching the tide changing was an amazing sight - it rises by 30m according to local guide. Worth the extra effort and expense to stay on the island.

The staff were friendly, accomodating and just warm in all of our interactions on every occasion. The hotel accomodation is really clean and well maintained, its close to the entrance of the island. We stayed just one night but the team helped get us a reservation at a good restaurant on the island and helped organise the best times for touring the abbey etc. Highly recommended and the cribs for a baby are excellent!

as promised the hotel is the closest building to Mont St Michel, well worth staying here for the views and convenience. The restaurant was really very good, we had an excellent evening meal there .. probably the best we had in France that trip. Parking is easy to access, and the directions provided by the staff were detailed and gave us all we needed to know to get in and out easily.

Exclusive location to visit Le Mont Saint Michel, near the shuttle bus stop to Le Mont Saint Michel. Two restaurants and shops just in front and beside the hotel. The room (ours was a superior room) is spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is clean. Staff is kind and gives any information you may need to visit the abbey and have dinner in the restaurants nearby
