It's spacious and has a nice atmosphere. It's located in the roof and most of it is about 2 stories of open space, which really opens it up. The amenities were good and the owner was very friendly. It's very close to the beach and Boulogne-sur-mer & Nausicaa (about 10 - 15mins driving).

location; a nice welcome by the host; possibility to eat with a view towards the sea; despite the fact that there was no breakfast in price, we were still given some fruits and snacks; there were no issues with parking the car on the public parking; the appartment was very, very clean. We would highly recommend staying in this appartment, not only for one night but also for a longer time period.

Great Static home, compact but with everything needed. Guilain was amazing and welcoming. The location is perfectly situated for Beach fun, hiking etc. Sea view and you can see the English Coast line on a clear day. We were in a group of 3, but 7 can be accommodated.

I booked our 10th wedding anniversary here.

I booked our 10th wedding anniversary here. We stayed for 4 nights and that was the right length of stay to explore the area. The food at the hotel is good, but it lacks variation for breakfast. There is not much else for breakfast around, although you might prefer to go to a local bakery for breakfast. Staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. There is public transport by bus, we came by car. Parking was not a problem on the local roads in September. I guess, it could become an issue in the season.

Having lived and worked there for about fifteen years, I know the town well. Nevertheless, it continues to develop and improve, especially in its summer activities. It's worth visiting for its seaside locations and its history.

Le Portel is quite run-down overall.

Le Portel is quite run-down overall. Many houses, shops, and sidewalks are in dire need of renovation. It doesn't give a very pleasant impression of the area. We've had the opportunity to visit other seaside resorts that were significantly more attractive and better maintained. Wimereux and Coquelles, for example.

It was a really nice place with a beautiful, clean, wide beach, and the lifeguards kept an eye on everything. There were nice shops in the village and lots of terraces and restaurants. Everything looked very clean, too.

Le Portel is an old fishing village near Boulogne-sur-Mer that has managed to retain much of its original charm. A particularly pleasant feature is the absence of high-rise buildings constructed specifically for tourists. The residents of Le Portel are very hospitable and helpful.

The host was really nice and welcoming and spoke good enough English to have a good conversation. We arrived in le Portel for 3pm and was allowed to check in for 5pm. The beachfront on the doorstep was an excellent way to pass the couple of hours. The 2 days we spent here was very comfy and relaxing for which we then began our journey to Brittany (excellent for a stop over location). The host was really accommodating of our small dog Gracie too which was lovely.

This is our third stay here over the years en route from Scotland to Catalonia. We really like this little hotel as it is cosy and friendly. We have always enjoyed the good food on offer in the small restaurant. The hotel is situated well: after arrival we tend to take a walk before and after dinner as it is near to the seafront and some pleasant bars.

Well located, with good size bedroom, comfy bed, everything you need for a night or more. Close to the beach, plenty of parking on the road side, next to the hotel. Restaurant is also a good option, great service, nice food, reasonably priced. Will book again.
