We were cared for exceptionally well from the moment we walked in. The management are professional and pay attention to small details. The building is gorgeously maintained (I believe they said it was from the 13th century) and the room was modern and had all the necessities plus extra. We enjoyed the fact that the steam room/pool was reserved privately for all guests which was a surprise and made our stay very special. The restaurant was one of the best dinners we have had.

The breakfast buffet was fabulous. Lots of choices everything very fresh. The bread and smoked salmon especially good! The location was lovely in a beautiful atrium. As the restaurant was closed on the night we were there we ate in the bar and the service was superb. The food was lovely small plates of charcuterie for example. The welcome from the staff and their fantastic customer service was amazing from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We had taken our dog with us and they even checked in that we had everything we needed for her stay and she'd been comfortable. The spa was very nice, particularly the sauna and jacuzzi.

Ideally located for accessing the lake and enjoying activities at a lower cost (pedal boats, paddleboarding, swimming, etc.) without having to go through the town of Aix-les-Bains, which is too crowded at this time of year. We had dinner at the restaurant next to the hotel to save time. A bit pricey, but excellent.

We ate at the Hôtel du Lac: excellent food, but a bit pricey. There are opportunities for walks around the lake. A destination I would gladly return to in order to explore the surrounding area.

The room was very nice, except for the window which didn't...

The room was very nice, except for the window which didn't close properly; someone outside could easily open it simply by pushing the window open. It's a shame, otherwise the room was very good, the shower was very good, and the bed was very comfortable. No complaints there. The receptionist was very friendly.

A super beautiful area.

A super beautiful area. The lake was nearby with a beautifully landscaped park. There was no hot food available at the hotel, and there was no bar where you could get a drink. Breakfast was only available, but there were very few sandwiches and other items. The hotel is easily accessible. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The area around the lake is truly worth exploring, with its numerous historical treasures, beautiful forests, renowned gastronomy, and visits to cheese dairies and cheese shops to discover the local produce. All shops are nearby.

What I saw was appealing, but it's under construction, so...

What I saw was appealing, but it's under construction, so I'll have to reconsider my plans. Despite the renovations, some good things are starting to take shape. The hotel is easily accessible and close to many places to visit, most notably Lake Bourget.

Very nice lady welcomed us when we came late in the evening and helped us with the bags. Very good information before we arrived, free parking right outside, the room cleen and fresh. We needed a nice hotel to stay at one night between long car rides from France to Switzerland and the location is perfect, 5 mintues from the highway. The price was very good.

Lovely hotel. Great location, near to amenities and a super wee restaurant next door. Coffee available all day and a really nice breakfast in the morning. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely stay again!
