Located on GR7, one of the main St Jean de Compostella routes between Fanjeaux and Mirepoix, this stay is a much-needed refuge in an isolated part of the camino. Also a lovely stopover for anyone on a cycling tour. The village of Hounoux stands on a sudden hill with commanding views over the surroundings. Unpretentious, comfortable accommodation and with kindly, welcoming hosts and a view over the Razes that could scarcely be beaten. A garage to store bikes. Hosts attentive and good company at breakfast. I wish them every success. Great value in terms of price and quality of stay.

This place is very special, situated in the lovely elevated village of Fanjeaux, it is a superbly designed suite of rooms with a stunning view for miles across the countryside as far as the Black Mountains. With its own private entrance, the first room in the suite is a spacious conservatory with cosy seats, beautiful plants, decor with books and even painting and sketching materials thoughtfully provided for guests. From here a door leads into very attractive mini-kitchen/dining room that looks out across the stunning view, with coffee-machine, fridge, microwave and little butler sink complete with a dresser filled with beautiful pottery and glassware. The next room with the same breathtaking view is the super comfortable bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The hosts have put so much care into making people welcome here and are very kind and responsive while giving guests perfect privacy in a peaceful space.

It was a pleasant stay and a big thank you to Samuel and his dad for there warm welcome.The property is located in the beautiful area,a lot of trees and birds around! We had a fantastic week here and we absolutely loved it. Aline and Pascal are amazing. They are super welcoming and make you feel right at home. The house is great with a very comfy bed and well equipped kitchen. The surrounding countryside is magic, and there are so many places to sit, relax, eat and enjoy nature while you are there, not to mention the swimming pool when it's hot. I would highly recommend it to anyone would go back if we visit the area again.

After a long day's walking, to find a beautiful compact chalet in green woodlands - almost perfect. Just the place to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine, except it was raining when we arrived. Never mind! A great place, well equipped including a washing machine. At the top of town, a short downhill walk (5 minutes) to shops, bars etc. - we stocked up.Just right for two, hosts very friendly and helpful
