Fabulous accommodation just outside Barrageon village and half way south through France. It was a great venue to stop and rest. It is modern, tastefully furnished and spacious. For us it was perfect!

A wonderful place to stay to rest during a long holiday. The chateau is spacious, immaculately presented and very comfortable. Our host was informative and helpful. The chateau is in the countryside and it is very peaceful. As well as our large room, there were comfortable common lounge rooms that could be used. Wish we could have stayed longer.

This is a converted farmhouse with ecclesiastical connections a few miles east of Vierzon. Beautifully renovated and very elegant. Our room is modern and very well equipped with an excellent bathroom. There is a 48 hour limit to reserve dinner but we overlooked that and instead ate a picnic beside the river in a nearby village as recommended by the wonderful hostess of the property. Breakfast however is a luxury experience. Everything on the table is either locally made or produced by the hostess ; the honey, jam,croissant, flapjacks and yogurt ;the list goes on. Foesy lies equidistant between the Haut Languedoc and Calais and makes for a perfect overnight stop. This is an top quality B&B.

Lovely location and set in beautiful grounds. Very nice hosts, we felt very welcomed. Lovely room with beautiful views of garden, very comfy bed. Wonderful breakfast. Hosts re-opened swimming pool for us even though we arrived after 6pm. Would definitely stay here again.

What a gem, really nice, well converted and maintained, great host and great value for money. We were only able to stay 1 night to break up driving to southern France and this place was brilliant. Not far from the route but quiet with all the facilities and more we needed for a relaxing evening and good nights sleep. Absolutely superb.

An interesting castle with a museum that we didn’t have the...

An interesting castle with a museum that we didn’t have the time to visit. There’s also connections with Joan of Arc in the town. A lovely town but it looks as though it has suffered in the recent economic downturn. They really need some more tourists to help the businesses pick up. It’s well worth it though. Would be great for cyclists too as the voie vert that goes along the Berry Canal goes past the hotel.

The Hotel was very good, very clean. Super friendly hotel team who spoke very good English. They even made a restaurant suggestion and booked a table for me (Le Petit Charles, very good) Bedroom and bathroom were a good size. The bed was super comfortable. The shower was great. Breakfast had a great selection. The hotel team even suggested I put my motorcycle in the garage just for peace of mind. Great place overall.

This a little gem of a hotel in the middle of France, not too far off the motorway to make a stop but well worth it. Mehun sur Yevre is also a lovely little town with a long history. The landlord couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and the hotel has a courtyard for secure parking. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast very good.

Everything was excellent. The family who run the hotel are charming, our room was large, well furnished and clean, and the hotel was perfectly located for a first night,s stay after driving from Caen. Also, the owners kindly agreed to keep my car in their private, and secure, courtyard overnight, free of charge.

We arrived on a Monday when the restaurants were all closed. There was the option of a simple dinner in the hotel, reasonably priced and delivered to our table. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. All the staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful.
