Outstanding personal welcome, such a wonderful change from the grim chain hotel experience. We travel across France frequently and have suffered so many shabby and unmaintained Ibis (and similar) hotels. Thouroughly recommended!

Lovely location and set in beautiful grounds. Very nice hosts, we felt very welcomed. Lovely room with beautiful views of garden, very comfy bed. Wonderful breakfast. Hosts re-opened swimming pool for us even though we arrived after 6pm. Would definitely stay here again.

What a gem, really nice, well converted and maintained, great host and great value for money. We were only able to stay 1 night to break up driving to southern France and this place was brilliant. Not far from the route but quiet with all the facilities and more we needed for a relaxing evening and good nights sleep. Absolutely superb.

An interesting castle with a museum that we didn’t have the...

An interesting castle with a museum that we didn’t have the time to visit. There’s also connections with Joan of Arc in the town. A lovely town but it looks as though it has suffered in the recent economic downturn. They really need some more tourists to help the businesses pick up. It’s well worth it though. Would be great for cyclists too as the voie vert that goes along the Berry Canal goes past the hotel.

We had a fine and large room, and we admired that handicapped people were also welcome and that the hotel was designed accordingly. Quite frankly, we had never heard about Mehun-sur-Yèvre before, so we were amazed by its old town, its castle and in particular the fine park divided by the multiple branches of the river. An arboretum belonging to the hotel extends the Park. So both the hotel and the town were a very pleasant surprise.

The Hotel was very good, very clean. Super friendly hotel team who spoke very good English. They even made a restaurant suggestion and booked a table for me (Le Petit Charles, very good) Bedroom and bathroom were a good size. The bed was super comfortable. The shower was great. Breakfast had a great selection. The hotel team even suggested I put my motorcycle in the garage just for peace of mind. Great place overall.

Lovely small traditional hotel in the centre of this charming historical town. Easy free parking adjacent. A warm welcome and attentive service from the young proprietor, who seemed run the place almost single handed! Pleasant room with very comfortable large bed. Plentiful breakfast. Lovely walks around the town, in the nearby water gardens and along the canal.

Everything was excellent. The family who run the hotel are charming, our room was large, well furnished and clean, and the hotel was perfectly located for a first night,s stay after driving from Caen. Also, the owners kindly agreed to keep my car in their private, and secure, courtyard overnight, free of charge.

Everything was very good. Welcoming and courteous staff. Very clean and comfortable. Nice decoration and homely atmosphere. Lovely little town with lots to discover. Such a refreshing change from chain or posh hotels. And last but not least good value! Merci beaucoup. Nous reviendrons !
