We loved this apartment, which is fresh and well maintained, with fantastic views of the mountains, and access to lovely walks and parks. We were travelling with a car, and it was very easy to get around, although the buses are also straightforward (we struggled with buying the tickets, however, since the ticket app doesn’t work with UK mobile phones). Nearby supermarket was handy. If you fancy walking into Grenoble, it is about 45 minutes along the river. There is a lovely walk to a lake in the other direction. Kitchen was well-equipped with pans, utensils etc, and had cooking basics like oil, as well as a coffee pod machine and coffee. The owners were friendly and incredibly helpful, and our nine-year-old really enjoyed playing in the garden, and even got to borrow a bike! Can’t praise this place highly enough!

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to Michallon...

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to Michallon Hospital, as I was traveling alone while my husband was hospitalized, but I was disappointed. It's a "cold" hotel in every sense of the word, except for the evening receptionist who was pleasant.

Disadvantage: The roads in Meylan are in terrible condition.

Disadvantage: The roads in Meylan are in terrible condition. Advantage: It's a quiet neighborhood, as driving faster than 30 km/h is sure to damage your car! The area itself is wonderful, though. If you look around a bit, you can find some decent restaurants.

Avoid at all costs!

Avoid at all costs! We couldn't reach the hotel after 9:30 PM and couldn't access our room, which we had fully paid for. After five unanswered calls to a locked hotel door, we had to find another hotel at 10:30 PM. To this day, the hotel hasn't refunded us a single penny!

The hotel is located in an office area, with few restaurants...

The hotel is located in an office area, with few restaurants nearby, but it's close to Grenoble, ideal if you're coming by car. However, if you're on foot, you'd be better off staying in Grenoble city center. There's plenty to do in Grenoble itself: visit the Bastille, the Dauphiné Museum, and explore the pedestrian zone in the city center with its good restaurants. It's a vibrant student city with a lively nightlife.

A very pretty town, beautiful scenery, and then a lovely valley dotted with charming villages. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer. Oh, yes, by the way. It's walnut country, but not a single restaurant offered us any desserts with this nut!

A nice suite at a good location. Parking lot is for free, the same for the enclosed bicycle room (I took my bike with me; Meylan is great for exploring by bike). There is the possibility to make laundry and the kitchen provides everything one needs. Towels and basic cleaning/grooming kit are included.
