Where do we start?! From the moment we arrived we were treated wonderfully well. We were met as we drove up and taken on board the delightful Perniche Caroline. Everything about our stay was superb: our cabin was clean, cosy and so comfortable; we sat on deck with an aperitif before dinner. The dinner was exceptional - beautifully presented, incredibly flavoursome and the locally sourced wine was also lovely. After a wonderful night's sleep, the breakfast that awaited us was the best we have had in France. Above all, our hosts were truly lovely people and passionate about their business. We can't recommend this place enough and will certainly be returning ourselves.

Perfect place to disconnect, located in the small and typical Ginestas village, a wonderful setting in the middle of the Occitane region. The place provides free private parking and bike storage, check- in was smooth and communication with the hosts was easy and effective. Breakfast is very good and if the weather is nice you can have it in their beautiful garden. Although we only needed a pit-stop place for one night during a roadtrip, we enjoyed everything so much :)

Beautiful old building right on the canal with a lots of restaurants around it. Comfortable bed, friendly hosts. We arrived by bike and were able to store them safely overnight. A must if you are cycling the Canal du Midi.

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at La Retraite. The apartment is cosy and tastefully decorated, and Assignan is a nice quiet little village, more interesting than we expected. We very much appreciated the complimentary local products, especially the jam and bread, and the coffee, because there are a few fine restaurants in the village, but no cafés where you can have breakfast.
