This B&B is fantastic - our whole family loved its and would stay again gladly. The village is idyllic, and has hiking trails through woods that start just feet from the front door. Our single large family room (for us 2 parents, and our 2 teenagers) was spacious and comfortable. And, the hosts were extremely kind and conscientious. Our particular family also loved the fact that they had dogs and cats that we caught sight of in the courtyard and were able tot say hello to :-).

No breakfast . More honest than the person at Bussiere _Portevine who when we arrived after booking an apartment for 4 nights wanted to put us in a bedroom behind the kitchen in his house. No way .

This is a charming historic village with some truly ancient...

This is a charming historic village with some truly ancient buildings including a chateau and a monastery. Very quiet when we were there (early April) but very picturesque. No restaurants (open) there, and crossed by a couple of busy roads, but well worth a visit. We chose it because of its proximity to Oradour-sur-Glane, which was haunting, but also worth visiting.

A very pretty village (one of the most beautiful villages in France). However, there are practically no shops (the hotel-restaurant mentioned appears to be closing permanently on September 24, 2025). There's virtually nothing to eat within 10 kilometers (Bellac).

A small but superb village nestled in the Limousin region, close to many other places of interest, where you can have a drink at a friendly Englishman's place or buy books from a welcoming bookseller. You can also enjoy a meal in the excellent restaurants nearby.
