A lovely place to stay, a warm welcome. I totally recommend eating here, for two nights we had a lovely three course meals with wine and the company of walkers on the Cather Trail with whom it was interesting to share stories. We were advised on a superb walk, which will be a day we remember for a long time. Beautiful surroundings. A simple humble. Chambre d’hote, with everything you needed for a restful place to stay. The walk from Puivert along the ridge to the labyrinth was stunning.

We arrived on our motorcycles extremely hot and tired after a long ride in 38°C temperatures to be greeted by a wonderful air conditioned hotel and friendly host. The rooms were large and spacious and recently decorated, as were the bathrooms. In our hot and tired state the presence of a lift was very welcome instead of the stairs. We enjoyed a lovely dinner and could have used the pool if we could have faced going back into the heat outside!

Adam and Phil are the best of hosts. They really go out of their way to accomodate their guests. They even went to get pizza for us. The house is very roomy and has the wonderful atmosphere of an old building, yet all the comforts of a modern one. The room was comfortable and bathroom spic-n-span. Breakfast was abundant and Phil even offered to do eggs for us, but it was ample enough already, with good coffee, juice, fresh fruit, bread, croissants, pain chocolat, the works! Thank you very much guys. This is the first time I've given a 10/10 rating. You deserve it!

The host is very helpful l had a problem with the car and she made calls for me and arranged a local mechanic .I like the peace and tranquility in the garden .the town is small but the people are friendly and the food is great.Sophie seems happy you often hear her having a laugh which is infectious so l recommend you come and stay here the flora in the garden is beautiful

The house was truly equipped with every comfort, even a washing machine and dishwasher. It was also wonderful to be able to eat outside every day (weather permitting). From this location, it was ideal for me and my partner to explore and visit the cultural heritage in the surrounding area.

Charming little village.

Charming little village. We enjoyed a guided tour of the Quercorb Museum and a presentation at the village church featuring beautiful birds. We stumbled upon the lake by chance on our way out; perhaps it would be helpful to have better signposts about it. But what about in winter?

It was simply a stopover on our journey back from Spain.

It was simply a stopover on our journey back from Spain. It had been a long time (too long) since I'd booked a bed and breakfast, having mostly stayed in hotels; but Puivert reminded me of the charm and quality of this type of accommodation. Spacious room, very complete breakfast. I'll definitely be back.

The house was comfortably furnished and well located. The property is near the centre of the village and a restaurant. It is also near the footpath to the castle and not far from the swimming lake. Puivert is also conveniently located for visiting other Cathar castles and places of interest. The owners were always responsive and helpful.

Jon’s house in the little hameau above Lac de Puivert is perfect! It is really well equipped and a 3 min walk to the lake and Puivert village. The kitchen has everything you need to make use of the fantastic local produce and rustle up great feast which can be eaten outside in the lovely orchard.

We would only suggest that if the owner were allowed to put a sign for his "hotel" at the nearest junction in the village, it would be quite a bit easier to find!
