This was simply exceptional, from the moment we arrived on the boat, right through our stay, to the time we left. We were simply mesmerised by the Island and by the hotel, and this stay is something we will remember for a long time to come. We stayed in a suite and the room was fantastic. The furniture was most comfortable and both it and the decor were very tasteful. The room temperature was always perfect and the views out to the garden were stunning. The bathroom was probably the best hotel bathroom I've ever experienced. In typical French fashion, the toilet is in its own room, while the bath, his/hers sinks, and shower, are in a different room. This latter part was spacious and modern, and all around great. The restaurant was great. The menu is simple, but was perfect for us, and not overly pricey. Hotel guests can access the museum free of charge. Its well worth the visit too. The island itself is fantastic. Though the review is for the hotel and not the island, it wouldn't feel complete without mentioning the island. The nature, the beach walks, the UNESCO site - all well worth taking the time to do or explore. Lastly, the staff were great. Very friendly and very helpful. I can't comment on the standard rooms in this hotel but I would recommend paying the extra to upgrade to the suite.

the only negative comment i could think of was there was no kettle which being a big tea drinker i noticed, but the stove boiled the water quickly so no big deal. otherwise it met every need we had :)

Quettehou is a small but charming town.

Quettehou is a small but charming town. It has everything you need, from a large supermarket to a pâtesserie (pastry shop), a tobacconist, and small independent shops. Restaurants were scarce. For dinner, Saint-Vaast-la-Hogue is recommended, or during the day, Quienville (home to the World War II Museum).

An ideal starting point for visiting the Cotentin peninsula. Close to Saint-Vaast la Hougue, Tatihou Island, Utah Beach, etc... A town of manageable size with all amenities, from small shops to large supermarkets.

A small town without any major distinguishing features.

A small town without any major distinguishing features. It has shops (pastry shops, chocolate shops, caterers) and two pleasant restaurants. Its appeal lies in its proximity to Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, Barfleur, and Cherbourg, etc., as well as the hiking opportunities. There's a beautiful church in Montfarville with 19 paintings by Guillaume Fouace.

Friendly and comfortable. Private room with amazing bedding and tasteful decor. Well heated. Optional homemade breakfast including delicious jams. Tour near St Vaast; great location. Don't miss Gosselin's grocery store! Tatihou Island.

The hotel is very nice and has a lot of familiar flair. Opened only since a few months it is a very nice place to stay and the owners are lovely people. The breakfast is very good and offers varieties of homemade marmalade and different types of bred, croissants, etc. I will definitely come back again, a big thumbs up!

Pleasant location in the village of Quettehou with free parking and breakfast at extra cost if required. Rooms are clean and functional and overlook a pleasant garden area were you can sit out.
