The attention to detail in the decoration, very respectfully preserved details such as wall paper, cornices, fireplaces, original doors, windows with shutters and the flooring. And yet there is a modern heating system and the electrics and plumbing are up to date. The views of the gardens are fantastic too and breakfast was served in a lovely dining room with silver and cristal wear (the butter was presented in the shape of a flower!)… merci beaucoup monsieur!

We had a wonderful time in this lovely apartment located in a small, peaceful town not far from Calais. The place was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and very well equipped — everything we needed was provided, from kitchen essentials to cozy touches that made us feel at home. The host was friendly and helpful, but, to our surprise,...

The host was friendly and helpful, but, to our surprise, could not really advise on food options nearby. The house is very strangely arranged. It is fitted into a converted garage, feels quite cold. There are no doors between upstairs bedrooms (just a small separating curtain), and the curtains on the windows do not block the light (had to add an improvised curtain). Part of the roof downstairs in the bedroom is made from transparent plexiglass, which makes it very noisy when it rains (could not block out the light in the morning, so you wake up with the first light). Upstairs space is quite small, but beds are comfortable. WiFi is very slow, but it can be expected in a rural location.
