For a hotel of this type (traditional French) - we were really happy to be welcomed in a friendly and helpful manner. The room was spotless and comfortable. The restaurant was very nice with well prepared and cooked food. Breakfast was good also.

A beautiful house in a stunning location, overlooking a scenic lake in the centre of town. The house is very well equipped and decorated to a high standard. The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay again if we’re ever in the region. Perfect for a cycling base.

The hosts are lovely and caring couple who showed us warm welcome and ready to offer help when we needed. Their beautiful dog Clover became a best mate of our little boy after a minute we met. The cottage was beautiful and cozy, and there were already milk, a baguette, wine, juice, butter, jam, ham and cheese and more, kitchen was well equipped that we cooked during our stay with no problem at all, all that little details in the house that shows how caring and lovely the hosts are. Everything was clean and I particularly lovely the layout and the roomy toilet. We had our car, an hour to drive to mount St Michel and St Malo, beautiful places that worth visiting.

We weren't there as tourists, so there's not much to say. Just a simple, lively little town, a shopping street, with everything you'd expect from such a small town. Good restaurants nearby.

I highly recommend the restaurant L'Ardoise.

I highly recommend the restaurant L'Ardoise. The food is delicious, a feast for the eyes before the taste buds! Absolutely top-notch! Plus, the value for money is exceptional. The staff is very warm and attentive – a truly delightful experience.

A charming little town, but a bit sleepy for this time of...

A charming little town, but a bit sleepy for this time of year. Luckily, there's a lovely bookstore and a pleasant walk around a lake. Not too far from Mont Saint-Michel. An ideally located crossroads for heading to Brittany or continuing on to the Cotentin Peninsula. anitacavedo

It's a quiet and clean town where you'll find very friendly people. The shopkeepers were very welcoming. During our stay, we ate our meals at friends' houses. We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely walk around the ponds. In short, it's a wonderful place to live.

Cicling in the "Veloscenie" Paris-Mont Saint Michel, the city of Saint Hilaire is an handy point to spend a night. This hotel is old but very well mainteined. Easy check-in with a very very kind and welcoming operator, sorry we didn't ask her name. There's a garage for recovering the bicycles. Recommended.

The room was very clean, decent size, functional heating, and good Wifi. There was a nice TV with chromecast. The staff did not speak english, but my little understanding of french made it work. Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët is a very cute town, midway between some interesting sights.
