Great location and beautiful property with lovely rooms and great breakfasts. Emmanuelle was always lovely and is an excellent ambassador for the hotel. The swimming pool and the communal pool-table room were a great facility for us.

As a group of 6 cyclist we stayed at Gite de Traunchanieres last week for four nights - and we really enjoyed this fabulous place. First class. The house and the garden are gorgeous - and the Brittany environment is so quiet and calm.  We slept like logs there. Agnes and Claude were first class hosts and the closest village is with supermarket and restaurant only 10 mins away on bike. Ideal. We may well be going back there…...  Thanks Agnes & Claude

    Driving from Renne don't miss your exit because you will...

    Driving from Renne don't miss your exit because you will need to drive to the next exit to get turned back. I made that mistake only once. Also, many BBhotels are right next to good restaurants that offer specials for guests. Not aware of one at Saint-Jouan-des-Guerets. Verdun has a great one as do the BBhotels in Lens and Compiegne.

    We stayed here for one night as took the ferry from St. Malo the next morning, but would consider it as a base for a longer stay to explore the region. This is not your standard hotel stay. Instead, you will be stepping into a little bit of history and be given a real experience when you stay here. Agnes and Claude are wonderful hosts and the rooms are large, airy and marry history with modern amenities. The breakfast is wonderful and Cancale is but a short drive away for its restaurants in the evening.

    The location was nice and easy to find and the hotel was more spacious than other hotels in this category. The breakfast was good with nice fresh fruit and breads and some decent granola. It was definitely a grade up from the other chain hotels at this price point, I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

    Receptionist was very helpful and friendly, spoke English well. We used this hotel for one night after visiting Saint Malo. It’s fine for that purpose. Wouldn’t stay multiple nights.
