The staff, ambience, design, facilities, all set in a beautiful location was tranquil and beautifully planted with well chosen furnishings inside and out. Having spa facilities was perfect and we had some lovely relaxing, luxurious treatments. Our room looked out towards the water which felt very calm and we could hear the sounds of the sea. We loved the steam room and salt water indoor and outdoor pools were lovely and warm with water jets.

This is a wonderful place to stay in the delightful village of Sainte Marie. The hosts are wonderfully helpful and friendly, organizing a crepe-based get-together for the guests and helping with any requests. The holiday homes are clean and well-equipped. The heated pool is great. There is a games room and it is possible to rent bikes on site. The property is located between the two halves of the village, each with a marketplace, so all the delights are easily accessible. Beaches are close by, 5 minutes by bike, 10-15 minutes on foot

Sainte Marie de Re is very quiet with not many shops or restaurants. There is a Carrefour supermarket and a small market daily. A lot of places were close early which meant we had to travel to St Martin de re , La Flotte or Bois de Plage to eat .

A strange place, not one for very active people who like...

A strange place, not one for very active people who like surfing/body boarding, serious bike riding. Tourist information had no information about walking routes, everything designed around dutch style bikes. Must be horrendous in the height of summer. To our mind NW end of island better with better sand, and for a village/town St Martin de Re better. Far too much of the beach areas had underwater rocks exposed at low tides which could cause injury.

A lovely place with plenty of safe cycling routes which are...

A lovely place with plenty of safe cycling routes which are well marked. Plenty of supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. No high rise buildings and a calm, relaxed feel to the area (which was also a feature of the whole island). Well maintained and very suitable for both families and couples.

If you enjoy cycling, you should definitely visit Ile de Ré. Sainte-Marie-de-Ré has several charming restaurants and terraces, a supermarket, and everything is within easy reach. From here, you can explore the entire island by bike. Highly recommended!

A pretty little town, with narrow streets lined with traditional houses. Lovely beaches, though not as pleasant for swimming and playing in the water as further along the coast. Ideal for shellfish gathering. A few shops and restaurants around the Place d'Antioche and in the La Noue district.

Sainte-Marie-de-Ré is for those seeking peace and quiet. It's lovely for strolling, with charming streets, but Saint-Martin-de-Ré and La Flotte are much more charming, with charming spots and plenty of shops and restaurants around the harbor.

The hotel was easy to find and well located, close to the town/village square. There was plenty of good parking available, which made things very convenient. Our room was spacious and comfortable—perfect for a relaxing stay. The pool was lovely, though it could benefit from a few more loungers or seats, as it tends to get busy. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection of options to suit different tastes.

Hôtel Les Vignes de la Chapelle is a great location on the il Du Re tucked away in a quite and pleasant corner of the island but offering easy access to the main tourist points. The pool was an nice size with comfortable sunbeds and deck chairs and enjoyed the sun for all of the day. The spa though we didn't use it was spacious and well equipped

Unusual check-in time. Arrived early by 2,5 hours and was kept waiting until the check in time at 17:00, only to find out the room was still not ready. Lots of cheap ‘faux’ materials unused in this hotel, ie artificial grass on terraces, wood ceramic flooring, everything very cheaply done. Definitely not a four star hotel.

Spacious room , very clean, large comfy bed and a patio to sit outside . The hotel staff were really helpful . This hotel is part of a bigger complex with self catering chalets & camping . About a 10 minute walk to the beach .
