Souillac is a handy stop on a long drive north or south through France as it is very close to the A20. Really exceptional place - the hosts went over and above...
Really exceptional place - the hosts went over and above what you would expect. The cycling related rooms, themes and inspired antique furniture made for an interesting and informative stay - we browsed the posters and pictures for hours. Food in the cafe was very good - with combination of locals and tourists all welcome to enjoy the social spaces. Hosts also helped with our touring around plans and information about other local sites and ammenities. Will be returning again! We ate out in the nearby town - about a 5 min walk from the house - really good quality in both restuarants and music both nights! I stayed here last year and we really enjoyed the location, the decor. It was lovely. It’s a very old building so expect some quirky features. I took many photos of the classic decor. Parking is free in the streets around the hotel with plenty of options. It’s a quiet city centre so we didn’t feel worried at all about our car. Everything was clean and tidy and the hotel services staff, cleaner, was amazing. Very attentive and quick to service rooms. Above and beyond in all aspects. Looks like newly renovated rooms. The fridge, kettle and hair dryer in the room was an advantage. Breakfast at 10euro per day extra, all you can eat buffet, the best Bacon, scrambled eggs, hot continental food in town.
