This perfect little haven in the Petite France area of Strasbourg was an ideal base to explore this beautiful historic city. This renovated old building has everything - character, history, vintage furniture and modern facilities. We visited Strasbourg during the Christmas Market and while it was only a few minutes walk to the major market squares and the local restaurants, the immediate vicinity was pretty quiet - almost no vehicle traffic and just a few pedestrians, who mostly seemed to be taking their kids to the school opposite. We only saw one staff member (I’m sure there must be others) but he was very welcoming and informative, giving us good tips on where to go. We loved our room, which was very nicely furnished, but also had plenty of power points, a device charger on the desk and the most fantastic shower.

The location is right across the street from the train station. The breakfast was superb! I'd say it's better than many luxury 5 star hotels. They provide à la carte order for eggs. My fried eggs were cooked to perfection. They also had probably more than 10 varieties of homemade baked breads and goods. All the staff were super friendly, especially the breakfast server. The room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel also had several common areas, each had a different theme, including a library and an outdoor sitting garden that seemed great. I'd definitely go back if visiting Strasbourg again.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was very cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was very rich, it had great coffee, fresh fruits and fresh baked bread. You also can walk around the premises of the hotel which is just stunning. It's quiet and in the middle of nature. I would recommend to go by car since it's a bit outside of the city center of Strasbourg, you have great parking opportunity at the hotel itself. We had a great experience over all and are looking forward to come again.

Superb city with a beautiful blend of churches, the cathedral and Alsacien buildings. The Christmas markets were crowded this first week but the heaving mass of good spirited people added to the festive atmosphere. All the markets were worth visiting, security on the island was noticeable and tight. One observation, a seeming complete lack of public toilets to cater for the crowds.

Strasbourg is one of the most picuresque towns or cities I have ever been to in Europe. I liken it to a mini Amsterdam, with it's old buildings and canals/rivers, and numerous bars and restaurants. The Christmas Market is spectacular and the whole town seems to embrace Christmas with many of its buildings adorned with festive stuff. The tram system is easy to understand for those that want to get around, or those less abled, and is relatively cheap (circa 10 euros for a 72 hour pass). I would reccomend the longer of the 2 boat trips on offer, it's a good way of seeing all of the city, and very informative with headphones supplied for different languages. I had such a great time that I may even break my ethos of not going to a place twice.

We fell in love with Strasbourg.

We fell in love with Strasbourg. It was beautiful, the people friendly and very accessible. We walked all over. I needed dental work done while there and the dentist was amazing! She even emailed after we left to check in on me. We did a day trip to Colmar which was such a cute place to visit. We have already planned to return next year and will absolutely be going at some point in the future for the Christmas markets.

Strasbourg Airport is just a 12 minute train ride from the central station. Rich in history, Strasbourg/Alsace at times part of France, and then Germany, today France. Strasbourg lies at the heart of Europe and is home to the EU with the European Parliament and other major European institutions. Attractive old quarter - Petite France. The famous Alsace wine route covers both France and Germany, just across the Rhine. Plenty to do and see and a friendly city, too.

A beautiful city with amazing, centuries-old buildings and beautiful waterways. So many narrow streets to wander down and discover. The people are friendly and it felt very safe. I loved the mix of languages there, the walkability (and bike-ability). It also has an abundance of bookstores, as well as an outdoor market in Gutenberg Place that sells classic literature from some of the best authors. I did find some of the traditional food a bit on the heavy side, and it wasn't my usual diet. But I found a wonderful place called Tzatzi (1 Rue Sainte-Barbe), which was a modern (and delicious) take on Mediterranean/Mezze food, and it was also very affordable. I highly recommend it.

Loved Petite France and Colmar.

Loved Petite France and Colmar. The cathedral in Strasbourg was spectacular. Saw the illumination show there. Worth the money. Saw many homeless people living on the street and some begging for money. That was very sad to see all around the Kleber Square streets. I would recommend a few days in Strasbourgh. No problem with transportation. We walked everywhere and road the train to Colmar.

More or less everything was on point - the room, the cleanliness, the tidiness, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The room was a good size, it was spotless, and the wifi and the number of plug sockets were excellent. the breakfast was plentiful and the various things on offer were regularly replenished. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. The hotel was near to a tram stop which was a couple of minutes from the Gare Centrale and 10 minutes from the city centre

Fantastic air con. The weather was incredibly hot when we stayed but the room was cool on arrival and stayed cool all night. We slept so well which was a pleasant change from our earlier hotels. Staff really friendly and helpful. Breakfast delicious and check out easy. Would definitely recommend them to friends and visit again if ever returning to Strasbourg.
