A lovely place to stay in the Loire Valley. The house is located in a tiny village and has a stunningly beautiful garden. Within just an 8-minute drive, you reach the nearest town with excellent restaurants and a château. The room was huge and decorated to our taste, and breakfast was a classic French one (baguette, cheese, jams, butter, croissant, and crêpe). We received recommendations from Thierry and Catherine about a château, which was breathtakingly beautiful.

It’s a great place to stay! The only suggestion for the owners would be to add a wardrobe or some railing in the main bedroom, as there’s nowhere to hang clothes. But that’s just a tiny detail — otherwise, everything is great.

The Hosts were very welcoming, but having driven all day it was irritating to find that the 2 restaurants, as advertised on Booking.com, were not open - apparently because there was no chef available. However, there were very few people staying on the day we were there and I believe this was the reason for the restaurants to be closed.

We stayed three weeks and could have stayed longer it was so...

We stayed three weeks and could have stayed longer it was so lovely. We liked the peacefulness of the area and the nature that surrounded us. But we also liked that we could get in the car and be at most sights within the hour. But there are so many lovely little villages in this area that you can pick and choose depending on how much nightlife, shopping etc you want. If you are looking for more of a small town experience St. Aignan is really nice or Amboise. For the city folk - Blois or Tours are midsize cities with great character and all the facilities. The Loire Valley is beautiful and has something for everybody - history, art, precious little towns, vineyards, caves, nature and tons of stuff for kids including a great zoo.

The owner was incredibly kind and gave excellent advice about the area. The explanations about the cottage were very clear. We couldn't find a single negative thing to say about the cleanliness; we tried to find something to criticize but couldn't. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return as soon as we have the chance. Three days was too short for our liking. A very good experience! ++++++++++++++

Just enough for one night, but the bathroom was too small, the shower was too close to the toilet, and you couldn't turn around in the restaurant. We asked for fries for the kids, and they told us to leave that to McDonald's. 🤔🤔🤔🤔 Meh, I wouldn't go back.

Thésée is a small town 10km from Beauval Zoo and not far...

Thésée is a small town 10km from Beauval Zoo and not far from the Loire Valley châteaux. It's quite peaceful, and the railway and motorway are nearby, which is convenient. There's a bakery, a butcher, a newsagent/tobacconist, and a pharmacy.
