The hotel had loads of space to sit and relax and enjoy being on holidays. Great locations to have a day in Colmar, walks up in the hills and they have three great winery. We made a cheese board each night and sat in the garden with a bottle of local wine. Perfect way to spend the evening after a day of exploring.

This was a well equipped and comfortable accommodation. It was apparent that the owners had given a lot of thought to the decoration and ambience of the property, for example the coordination of the fittings. There was a theme running through the decor; heart motifs everywhere. It was very tastefully done. We also noticed the lace curtain at the window had garden birds in the pattern and this was replicated at the ends of the curtain pole. The electrical appliances appeared mostly new, were very clean and easy to use.

Very cozy ! Amazing place and town I had so much fun . The place was a very hospitable area . We weren’t too keen on leaving as we felt like living in a fairytale due to the combination of the towns architectural aesthetics and the people as well as their prized culture - a melting pot of cultures and history . Turckheim is a small, beautiful Alsatien village.

Turckheim is a small, beautiful Alsatien village. You can easily walk round the perimeter of the village in under an hour. You would be on foot. This is not a place for cars. There are some lovely historical houses to see and it's just a delightful place to be in. There is a small Casino supermarket, a post office and a pharmacy as well as two brilliant patisseries - best eclair au cafe that I've ever had. I ate in the restaurant next to the hotel. Being on my own I ate at lunchtime and had the plat du jour. All the staff were friendly and the service was exceptional. They also do a tarte du jour. If you don't want to pay for bottled water then ask for a carafe d'eau. Did the nightly tour with the nightwatchman. If you don't speak French then this will be difficult. I wish I could have stayed longer. Next time I'll stay here rather than Colmar. The bus from just outside the main gate to the centre of Colmar is 1 euro 40. There's a bus every 30 minutes. The bus also stops at Colmar station.

1. Dangerous steps in communal area. One has to put one's foot skew on the steps especially when going down as they are not wide enough. The steps make a 90 degree turn and are narrow. At the turn you have to move direction the wall. I slipped from the steps and broke my back. 2. A lot of dust in room plus beer bottles from previous guest or attendant. 3. Builders dust on the steps. 4. Builder next to our unit drilling, they are renovating a room. 5. Grass too high, gets cut twice a year, tables and chairs overgrown.overgrown

We were on our way home from Italy.

We were on our way home from Italy. It was the perfect stop for us. The apartment is great for 5 or 6 people for one night. For less people it is great to stay for a couple of days. The village is charming and you find great wine and food from the Elzas. I will go back.

Great accommodation just a corner from the main Turckheim street. Spacious for a family with 2 children. The bed was comfortable and sofa just ok for the kids. The apartment is very clean and apparently recently renovated. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all basic supplies (tea, salt, oil etc..). There were even board games to play in the living room. The keys in locked box was very convenient for late arrival. Overall highly recommended.

This hotel is oozing with history and charm. Perfectly located near the train station and bus stop and steps from restaurants and shops. The courtyard area was the perfect spot for a pre-dinner drink and the bartender/evening desk staff was one of the happiest servers I've ever encountered. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was just right.
