The hotel was right at Omaha beach. The room is very spacious. It has a great direct view to Omaha beach which is just literally at your doorstep. Facilities (bed, bathroom, wifi) is very good.

This a refurbished mill near Omaha Beach in Normandy. Absolutely beautiful rural setting. The guest quarters resemble a guest bedroom with very comfortable beds. The bathroom was small but beautifully done. The proprietor was happy to show us around the old mill and the various improvements they are making. The hosts speak very good English and gave good advice on what to see in the area, both D-day related and otherwise. The breakfast was hearty - even some local Camembert cheese, which turned out to be too strong for our teenage son (but not for the adults). The eggs were from the hens in the yard. I could envision this as a place to stay for a week or two if you wanted to have an immersive French language experience, or as a base for exploring the Normandy war sites.

Just a single night as we drove through the area and stopped to see some of the D-Day sites. An adorable little farmhouse stay with a few cats and geese in the garden. The hosts were the highlight, as they chatted us up and provided everything we needed. We felt a bit guilty that they spent so much time on us even though we only stayed one night. The breakfast was actually a pleasant surprise, with some of the best French toast I've had in years. Would come back just for that!

Refreshingly different from staying in the usual stereotype hotels. Our host was welcoming and attentive. The old style French farmhouse was an interesting mixture of old and new and set in beautiful surroundings. A comfortable bed, excellent continental breakfast served in our own dining room, great value for money. Couldn't have asked for more. Convenient to the Normandy beach heads and associated Museums etc. We will stay again.

It was my birthday. There were several unexpected things during the day, and I arrived very late, almost midnight. And the owner was so friendly, helpful and positive! Unbelievable! He even met us at the road with the laser pointer, because it was dark and I couldn’t find the exact house. The entire stay was comfortable, the room was super clean, the breakfast was home made and delicious. The atmosphere in the house is amazing, with family stories and good sense of humor. I’m very grateful to the owner for the pieces of advise on visiting the places and on organizing the car route. And the house is on the sea shore. Fantastic!

Waking up with such view to the beach was priceless, host has the room tastefully decorated, including his own art pieces. Breakfast is tasty(it was personally served by host, we did appreciate it 😋) and we had a nice chat with other guests as well.

It's an excellent beach, but suffers from too many WW2...

It's an excellent beach, but suffers from too many WW2 tourists. We understand why they are there, and have feelings from history and its tragedies. But perhaps after 80 years, there is no need to make a touristic business about it, and the people whose families have been associated with the area for much longer can be allowed to get their lives back without disturbances. Vierville has been there for much longer the the mid 20th century!

Close to everything and still tranquil. A best kept secret. Make sure to check out the little trailer that sells crepes. Excellent crepes! Only drawback is there isn’t a Boulanger. So make sure to get you bread in another nearby town before arriving.

In Vierville-sur-mer you could walk al day if you wanted.

In Vierville-sur-mer you could walk al day if you wanted. You can walk on the beach, to the different monuments. You have a nice restaurant close to the momument on Omaha beach. The food there was the best. you could eat everything. you had fish, seafruits, steak, hamburgers,... In the city itself you could get easely around by car and on foot. I would recomend to take a raincoat because the wether can be a bit unpredictable.

You can't fault the location if you want to visit Omaha Beach because the hotel overlooks the beach. Free parking too (maybe not so available in peak periods). Staff were friendly. That's about it for the good points of the stay. It went downhill from then.

The hotel was right at Omaha beach. The room is very spacious. It has a great direct view to Omaha beach which is just literally at your doorstep. Facilities (bed, bathroom, wifi) is very good.
