Only a short break primarily to visit the Quarry Bank Museum of the Cotton Industry at Styal (which was superb). Alderley Edge itself was an eye opener with an stream of Ferraris, Rolls Royces and Range Rovers stopping by th echip shop (really!). The estate agents window prices gave us something to aspire to....... All in all a nice place, if only we could live there!

The venue is amazing.

The venue is amazing. The glass venue at the front of hotel is an eye catching attraction. The actual dining area is spacious with very comfortable seating. The bar staff are very polite and accommodating. I sat relaxing in the bar whilst my husband had a little shut eye, as he had driven most of the way from East Sussex.

It was wonderful to have access to a town library.

It was wonderful to have access to a town library. Such a welcome change to enjoy the bustle of Saturday morning shoppers. The town has a traditional bakery, butchers and florist. The boutiques are well stocked. At the end of the main street, there is a beautiful park, bowling green and playground. We visited a catholic church where we received a warm welcome. There are numerous restaurants on the main street. There is an excellent Waitrose and a small Tesco. The charity shops are clean and well stocked. The variety of books in all charity shops is second to none.

It's a small place but you don't need to go far for a variety of restaurants. There's a few shops and a library, not exactly buzzing I know but just right for a weekend away from dealing with loads of people every day like I do. You're close to a train station if you fancy going further afield and everyone seems to have a dog which makes it perfect for me! 😃

Very clean small town, from here simple to take public transport (train 30 mins) to Manchester city centre and avoid all the city hassles. Very nice shops, lots of top end 4x4's yes its footballers WAGS country. Small town, looks like many great places to eat and drink or shop! Also, don't miss to take a trip to the Heritage site of Jodrell Bank just a few miles away.

It has a delightful , vibrant high street with plenty of variety in shops and cafes. Gail's coffee shop is fantastic. Lots of choice for food. Lovely hot chocolate and lovely interior. Staff very nice. Wilmslow is not far to drive to either. If you like Greek food try the Stolen Lamb. It was very busy on a Sunday evening but the service was quick and the food delcious. The staff were absolutely lovely too. Try the beef dish.

I LOVE this place and always aim to stay here when I am in Alderley Edge for business. The staff are so hospital from the lady who welcomes you on reception, to the house keeper who is always so pleasant, to the gentleman who takes your breakfast order. The food is delicious - didnt meet the chef but, thank you! I would highly recommend. The room is a good size and very comfy bed.

This pub hotel is set in a lovely, picturesque English village. It was easy to walk into the village, which was full of restaurants and shops. Kudos. it was not too expensive. But the lodging was basic.
