The room was pretty and clean. The staff was nice, and I had a good dinner and breakfast. It was fun to stay in a building built in late 19th century. The location is also pretty as it's nestled in the forest, it's calm and you can hear birds sing. I enjoyed my stay!

A beautiful setting with the river running past.

A beautiful setting with the river running past. However our room facing the entrance and carpark made it very difficult to relax.Guests gather at the entrance and late at night it is very difficult to sleep. The staff were wonderful and helped us find alternative accommodation in the town . It is a shame we were not told about a wedding party so we could have made a choice whether to stay rather than listen to the celebrations which we fully understand would always be noisy.

Loved the quaint shops and country town feel of the place. Knowledgeable staff in the WH Smiths newsagents and lovely lunch at the pancake place and craft shop. Park was a beautiful place to visit and there was a well used Turkish/pizza establishment opposite the road near the car park which we enjoyed eating at. Very relaxing place to stay whilst visiting relatives at the nearby hospital.

Unfortunately we were only there for two nights for a sports event, we didn't have time to look around the area but the scenery was wonderful and there are a lot of interesting places to visit. Some nice pubs and places to eat. Well worth a visit.

Good places for dog walking if you have dogs and some dog friendly hotels to be found.(Really good pet shop too) Some good shops with local produce fish, baking delights and good outdoors shops. Feuch Bridge not to be missed! Both Castles very interesting

Lovely small town where everything you need is within a short walk. Great history with plenty of places to see. Lovely park with small lake. Plenty of parking. Lots of quality shops with good cafes/ coffee shops. Plenty of places to eat (restaurants/bars)

Banchory Lodge sits right on the banks of the River Dee, a gorgeous location - one evening over dinner we even saw salmon leaping. Beautiful room (Deluxe King) with a very comfortable four poster bed, lovely view and an enormous and extremely clean bathroom. Every member of staff we encountered was so friendly and the meals in the restaurant (both breakfast and dinner) were excellent, always piping hot and with plenty of choice. A wonderful stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Fantastic twin room looking out from an elevated position over Banchory & the hills beyond (including Scolty). Hotel was originally built for the Provost of Banchory in c. 1900. Superb bar and function room with very friendly staff from the bars, manager and breakfast staff. Very reasonably priced for rooms, food and drink.

Breakfast was good Receptionist was very attentive and helpful Our twin room had not been cleaned / unmade bed So we were each allocated a double room at no extra charge! The hotel is in a very useful position with easy access to the Main Street and all the shops and restaurants.

The apartment is well placed in the centre of Banchory. It was spotlessly clean, warm and well presented. The underground parking is a bonus, albeit the allocated space is a tight squeeze if you drive a larger vehicle.
