FAQs about hotels in Bath

Roman Ruins and Georgian Grandeur

Wonderful, World Heritage site Bath is an impressive mix of Georgian architecture and Roman legacy. Its most famous landmark is the fantastic, natural hot spring Roman Baths. Although everything above the pillar bases is from a later period, you still get an idea of its appearance in Roman times. Sadly you can’t bathe here, but across the street the rooftop pool at Thermae Bath Spa offers views of Bath Abbey and the surrounding hills.

Check out the stained-glass windows in the abbey, England’s last remaining Gothic church. Its square houses Pump Rooms dispensing hot spring water from the Roman baths.

Just behind, the Parade Gardens by the Avon River overlook Bath Rugby Club, the multi-level Pulteney Weir and registered historic Pulteney Bridge, lined with shops. Other Bath shopping options include Southgate Shopping Centre, the bohemian Walcot Street market, and brand-name stores on Milsom and George streets.

North is The Circus, a circular square lined with Georgian townhouses, only marginally less impressive than the Royal Crescent down the road. You can now visit number 1 Royal Crescent, restored to its 18th-century glory.

Before heading to Bristol Airport from your Bath hotel, take time to try the famous Sally Lunn Bun and stop at the pleasant pubs along the Kennet and Avon Canal.

Bath if beautiful, has lots of history and pleanty to do.

Bath if beautiful, has lots of history and pleanty to do. And like most cities there are walking guides and bus tours around the city. The Roman Baths are also well wotth the visit. You are spoilt for choice if eating out, you certainly wouldn't go hungry with the abundance of restaurants, cafes and coffee shops. There are also a lot of shops. All of the above are all within walking distance.

Bath is a beautiful city, so much to see, full of history, really easy to get around, everything is in walking distance, or the uber and buses are readily available. If you dont know much about Barth's history then the Roman baths are definitely worth a visit, the rooftop spa is also a must, with its 2 pools, and sauna and steam room's, there's nothing quite like chilling out in the rooftop pool looking over the spectacular views of the city. We had an amazing Italian meal, there are so many restaurants in Bath with mouth watering menus to choose from, We had an amazing visit, we went to see the rugby, then a couple of hour's at the spa, the rooftop pool was amazing, we have had a really chilled weekend.

Fantastic city with lots of things to see, most of which are walkable. The city centre is wonderful with lots of well known attractions. We are particularly fond of canals and the K&A is great. We ate at Cosy Club and Tagine Zhor, both of which we would highly recommend.

Bath has everything you need for a short break.

Bath has everything you need for a short break. Culture, history and food/drinking/retail establishments to suit all tastes and budgets. Fill your boots with whatever takes your fancy! Cocktails at The Hideout a must, they really know their stuff. Ponte Vecchio on the river, was delightful. Take in numerous strolls up and around the streets of Bath and along the river bank, many a watering hole to break the day up too.

I absolutely love Bath — there’s a reason it’s considered one of the most elegant cities in the UK. The stunning Georgian architecture, Roman baths, and rich history give it an unmistakable charm. I’ve visited many times, as my grandparents lived nearby, and every trip reminds me why I enjoy it so much. Bath has a timeless beauty and welcoming atmosphere that always makes me look forward to returning.

Excellent location that means everything in the city centre is within easy walking distance, from historic attractions to shops and restaurants. The hotel has an international corporate atmosphere, mainly due to bland yet stylish decor. Our 'executive room' was very comfortable and spacious, with very good facilities. Standards of service were high and staff very professional. The spa was fantastic, a great addition to our say in Bath. Continental breakfast was absolutely delicious!

Beautiful hotel just 10mins walk from the Roman baths and the city centre. Staff were great, loved the little show around when we arrived. The room was very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is freshly prepared as soon as you order it, but there are also some fruit and cereal on the buffet
