The hotel is stunningly stylish in every aspect and has been recently renovated. The bathroom and room were exceptionally clean. The in-room amenities like the TV, complimentary tea, coffee, and cookies offer a delightful sense of relaxation after a long day. The hotel bar is also very enjoyable, and I won’t even begin to describe the amazing cakes and coffee you can enjoy on the terrace—they’re simply wonderful. The warm welcome from the hotel manager upon arrival, and the same heartfelt farewell, made the stay truly unforgettable. Oh, and I almost forgot—there’s a car park right next to the hotel. Just leave your car there and immerse yourself in the breathtaking countryside nature.

Beer is perfect for a relaxing break. Lovely friendly people and lots of quaint shops and great places to visit and lots of tasty food on offer. The anchor inn has a variety of tasty meals and Gina's Italian restaurant was brilliant, quality home cooked authentic dishes at a reasonable price. The deli and bakery are great for picnic items for the beach. The surrounding areas of seaton and lyme regis are a lovely drive but l would not recommend lyme if you have mobility issues as it is very hilly. Beer has beautiful architecture and history and l reccomend a trip to the caves.

Beer is a beautiful little village, very compact and easy to walk around. A handful of shops and pubs. Pebble beach with very clean water. Highly recommend a trip to Pecorama and Beer Quarry caves for families with children.

A lovely fishing village.

A lovely fishing village. We live in Devon,we know a lot of locations but this is where we stay. Less crowded than other beaches and the high street not overcrowded either. Unspoilt compared to other places we know. Several places to dine or go for a drink too.

We would certainly stay at the Anchor Inn, at Beer again.

We would certainly stay at the Anchor Inn, at Beer again. Beer is a lovely village with a lovely village community. A local shop is on hand and the bus stop can be found right outside the village local shop. The sea views are lovely and coastal walks I believe are recommend. During the summer you can find a cafe on the beach. The Bay View Guest house also has a cafe next door which is a stone's throw from the peddle beach of Beer. Please note, during the summer dogs are allowed on the left side of the beach only. The walk to the beach is on a steep short road. Beer is a lovely place to visit with great views of the bay.

Beer is a lovely, unique place.

Beer is a lovely, unique place. There was a duck race on the rill that runs down the high street, raising funds for the RNIB. Lots of locals and visitors. Live music in the pub garden at the top of the beach. Lively and fun but not packed. Walking on the South West Coast Path, that runs through Beer in both directions is stunning. But it is quite strenuous. The bay is gorgeous.

Our fourth stay at the Anchor Inn. ?All meals at the Anchor Inn. Since our last visit there is now no bus service to Lyme Regis which is a shame. . However made use of bus to Exeter and Sidmouth. Weather excellent and made us of the Beer garden

We were updated on route to the Hotel regarding an issue with the televisions which was good to be pre warned. On arrival Steve was exceptionally helpful, we were offered an upgrade. The room was basic but served our needs for a short visit, the hotel was very pleasant and in a great location for the beach and visiting the local area. Parking can be hit or miss but we were lucky. Having eaten breakfast and evening meal at the hotel I'm happy to say the food was excellent. A very enjoyable stay. We will definitely return for longer.

Absolutely lovely house right in the centre of Beer village (it's between two pubs). Very big house with everything you need, two really big bedrooms with large double beds and a smaller one with two singles. The Dolphin is next door, it does lovely food, the barrel of Beer is on the other side, this is a great pub which also does food. Both pubs are incredibly dog friendly. The beach is a fantastic pebble beach and is just a two minute walk.
