The Highland getaway was amazing..very much 5 star.. had things we didn't think we needed! The attention to detail was above and beyond. Even dressing gowns and slippers. Beds were super comfy. Shower was powerfully and hot. And cooking facility was spot on. The kids loved the freedom of the park with forest walks across the road. And steam train within 5 mins walk.. no WiFi was not a problem for us. But there was no connection.

Lovely period property hunting lodge thoughtfully decorated to reflect the buildings history. The room was immaculate and beds very comfy. Good shower too. Quiet setting with nice views beyond its own grounds. The owners are nice people and couldn’t be more helpful.

Such a wonderful hotel. The staff were so helpful and friendly and both dinner and breakfast were outstanding. The check-in process was very simple but be aware that you will need to carry your bags upstairs. We parked around the back with no problems. Old fashioned and really homely rooms.

Boat of Garten is a small village which has some good features and services, including a pub, a village store, pizza shop, art gallery and historic railway station. It is well located in relation to forest walks and other outdoor activities. For any significant shopping you needs to travel nearby Aviemore, 4.5 miles away. We preferred the peace and quiet of Boat of Garten for our stay in the area.

We stayed at the caravan on a self catering basis The caravan was very well equipped with all the necessary items needed for a short stay break The site was nice and quiet and situated within easy reach of the towns amenities and lovely rural walks Our break at Boat of Garten was only a few days long so we did not get much time to explore more of thd beautiful countryside

Lovely little village, idyllic scenery.

Lovely little village, idyllic scenery. Great location for nearby attractions and not as busy and touristy as nearby Aviemore. Next time I visit I will definitely consider again and stay a little longer to explore.

Boat of Garten is just a small village in the Scottish...

Boat of Garten is just a small village in the Scottish Highlands there is a nice little restaurant 50yds away which serves excellent meals and a carry out fresh made Pizza facility, there is also a nice hotel about 400m away which serves excellent meals, well situated for the Osprey viewing observatory, close to Landmark adventure park, and not far from Aviemore highland resort.

The location in Boat of Garten is excellent if you want to do any walking or similar outdoor activity as there are plenty of opportunities and busier places like Aviemore are within range. The heritage steam line runs between the two so another attraction for some. The owner has a lot of experience in winter activities so worth chatting to if that is your thing. Breakfast was very good as well.

The room was clean and modern and very comfortable. The hotel restaurant & bar was nice with excellent food (great chips), and great staff. Our room had two chairs so it was a nice place to relax. It was also pleasant to go and look at the steam railway next door, and the little nature reserve by the lake down the road. I felt like our stay was very good value for money.

A lovely, modern spacious and fully equipped Caravan in a lovely very quiet site. Boat of Garten is a very attractive Highland village and serves as a great base. We were golfing on some fab nearby courses, tho its perfect for Hiking and cycling....it helped that the weather was. exceptional for May 24 degrees and Sunny all week!
