Beautifully clean, warm and cozy shepherd's hut in idilic location, just a 25min drive into the centre of York. Plenty of parking Stunning view that I enjoyed while sitting in bed sipping my morning cup of tea. Soft comfortable bed with different pillow thickness. Clean white cotton linen,. Ensuite bathroom with great power in the shower, soft fluffy towels and toiletries if needed. As a lone female traveller I felt safe and secure. Staff I encountered were friendly Top marks and I'll definitely be booking again.

The superking size bed was fabulous and having a small window in the eye sight from the bed that looked out onto fields gave such a relaxing vibe. The apartment was spacious and well thought through! No expense was spared in making sure the visit was as relaxing as possible! Great selection of breakfast choices!

The property was well maintained, in a great location only 20 mins from the city centre, and in a peaceful village. The hosts were excellent, we had issues with a whole village power outage due to weather and they could not have communicated better with us and helping to resolve any issues. We loved our stay and would come back!

Our second stay at the Piper Cottage. Loved it. The village is calm and very well "equipped" for walking the dog. Besides, you're very well located to go and discover places such as Bolton Abbey or Malham Cove, or even York.

Not aware of anywhere to eat.

Not aware of anywhere to eat. Managed to find some local takeaways and catered for ourselves. More info of any kind would certainly have been greatly appreciated. We drove and walked around immediate area. Would have visited the tearooms but limited opening hours of 10am - 3pm. Didn't fit in with our time frame. Church a treasure to explore. Noted the gesture of a probable parishioner who left the apples in the gateway of Church for the free taking. Thanks to Nigel who seemed responsible for the daily opening/locking of the building and happened to be doing the former at an earlier than usual time as heading off for a run. Suited us fine. Appreciated the time he spent talking with us. Keep up the good work.
