Fantastic location very close to Dartmoor, perfect for hiking and exploring the area. Breakfast was simple but of very good quality, even without continental style. Bread, yogurt, fruits and more provided a satisfying start. Being able to eat breakfast on the terrace made for a lovely morning experience. There's a charming church nearby, perfect for a nice short walk in the area.

This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Every member of staff was exceptionally friendly, professional and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed, and we felt we were part of the family. We will be returning, and highly recommend that you visit this great hotel. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the beauty and wildlife of Dartmoor. Very friendly staff, superb location on the edge of the moor. Room was nicely decorated, well equipped and clean. Breakfast excellent and evening meal good pub fare. I like the slightly quirky style of the place - so much better than bigger fancier hotels that are often soulless.
