Such a lovely place to stay. Everything was fantastic. Lovely room and view. A very comfortable place to stay. A highlight was the delightful lady running breakfast in the morning. Both mornings she was so attentive and happy and she really started our days off on a high note. We loved her.

It was great staying at Sunrise Guesthouse. I have been coming to Bude for many years and needed somwhere to stay that was central, clean and at a good price. I also needed a single room at a decent price. Sunrise guest house offered all of that. It was comfortable, nicely decorated and Kara was a lovely host. I would love to stay with them again.

I visited in the winter so I didn't go to the beach. Bude is not really a shopping metropolis, it has a diverse selection of independent shops, ranging from boutiques to galleries. The town centre is relatively small and easy to walk around with a range of independent shops, and cafes where you can watch the world go by. Favourites include Spencer Thorn for books and toys, Bellini’s Deli Kitchen on Queen Street for Cornish food produce, and Zuma Jay for surf/wetsuit hire and all things related. There are many other shops to explore for quality unusual gift items, such as The Jaunty Seagull which sells handmade creative items from across Cornwall. Bude’s Refill Shop sells foodstuffs, pampering gifts, chocolate and candles. George & Mills offers curated homeware brands from its stylish store. Its in-house coffee and juice bar serves Yallah coffee, cold-pressed juices, fresh smoothies, and delicious matcha to refuel from all that retail therapy.

The beaches are excellent and very varied if you add Widemouth Bay and Black Rock beach to the very local ones. Family members also enjoyed the small, interesting shops. We only ate at the Falcon - why would we go elsewhere?

Bude & probably a lot of South-West of England is difficult to get to with public transport, so one needs to have or rent a car. It does have lovely coastal and beach walks & ample people surfing. some nice cafes and restaurants.

The Bude canal walk with our dog was great, and the varied shops in Bude were excellent as were the eating places in and around Bude. Widemouth is worth a visit - not far away - we had an excellent meal at the Bay View Inn and saw the sunset from there

The parking is a bit pricey, crooklets car park £4.60 for 2 hours, tried to book a table at Brandon arms,phoned on Tuesday day time,to book,said for 2 people,said 7 pm was booked,offered 4.45 pm or 8.45,didn't go tried again on Thursday day time same request,told no tables but only at 4.45 or 8.45,what a coincidence I thought,then it clicked,if I ordered a table for 4 or more I would have got a table at 7pm,in my book I call it ,owner being greedy and choosey,manager appeared arrogant and not friendly

Bude - what a beautiful place!

Bude - what a beautiful place! Great for surfers, beach-goers, walkers, shoppers and pasty lovers. Ideal for both families and couples. Lovely atmosphere at night, and some nice eating and drinking places. Tidal pools were a bonus and lovely for a relaxing swim. Just an hour away from Padstow, Boscastle, Tintagel and Hartland Abbey.

We had a fantastic stay at this holiday cottage in Bude, Cornwall. The place is spacious, well-kept, and felt immediately comfortable for our family of four. The host couldn’t have been more welcoming—friendly, helpful, and quick to answer any questions we had. The location made exploring Cornwall really easy, with plenty of great spots just a short drive away. Parking on-site was safe and convenient, which gave us real peace of mind. All in all, a great find and one we’d happily recommend to anyone planning a trip here.

This hotel was just lovely! Super friendly staff, really close to the beach! I had a single room so no beach view but that was fine with me, my room was very lovely and nice and clean! We ate at the deck restaurant, good food….lots of choice at breakfast time! The hotel is really close to the beach and a short walk to the canal and local shops, I stayed in Bude for a wedding and fell in love…..can’t wait to go back!

The beach was amazing , the staff went beyond and we got an upgrade to a sea view and it didn’t disappoint:) breakfast and evening meal was so delicious and the scenery out of your window of bude was beautiful:) we saw geese in drones and they were amazing to watch :) overall our stay was lovely and we will defo go back to the beach hotel

The hotel was right on the beach. A good location for exploring the area. Staff were brilliant. The hotel had a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The food was all sourced locally. There are lots of fish dishes on the menu. The breakfast menu had a choice of tasty food.
