Hospitality was great, though had to approach bar to find someone to check in, the hotel and bar was an older but very well loved place, rooms were small but comfortable and decent bathrooms for each. Clean, comfortable beds and pillows. Bar downstairs was well stocked for drinks and the small menu was very good. Food was quick and delicious and dessert was incredible. Breakfast was included and we had access to the full breakfast menu- food was again great and quick. Parking was behind the building, small area but locked overnight. Hotel was a short walk from the beach, a leisure centre and a park with playground. The staff were all fantastic, helpful and friendly, they had a very genuine Scottish charm.

Fantastic Holiday with a Sea View and Perfect Comfort! Rating: 10/10 We had an unforgettable time at the 101a Pettycur Road apartment, and it was simply perfect! All our expectations were exceeded, and we are happy to recommend this property to anyone looking for coziness, cleanliness, and an excellent location. Location (9.2/10): The location is unbeatable! It’s only a two-minute walk to the lovely Pettycur Beach. Waking up to the beautiful sea view is a real treat. Plus, it is a very quiet and peaceful area where you can fully relax. The free parking was also a huge bonus. Facilities and Comfort (10/10): The apartment itself is a model of comfort and thoughtful design. Inside, we found an immaculately clean, cozy, and lovingly furnished little nest. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need—from a dishwasher to a washing machine—making the stay incredibly comfortable, just like being at home. The presence of a woodburning stove adds a special charm and warmth to the evenings. Staff/Host Care (10/10): We must specially mention the care and attention of the owners/hosts. They did everything to ensure our holiday was flawless. It is clear that they genuinely care about their guests. This is the ideal place for a family holiday, a romantic getaway, or just a reset by the sea. We will definitely be back here again! The best value for money.

The location is great, quiet but close to shopping, bars, food and places of interest. The hotel is unique, loved how the ships features have been incorporated to retain the authenticity. Food on board is excellent and highly recommended. Fabulous place to stay.

The staff in the Victoria Hotel from the front desk to the wait staff were unbelievably attentive and gracious. When we informed them that we had an early flight and would miss breakfast, they prepared us a box lunch. Our bed was super comfy and our room was larger than most rooms we've had in Scotland. We had a wonderful stay from start to finish. We were sorry we couldn't stay longer.

We loved this hotel! The staff was extremely friendly (even said hi when we ran into them outside of the hotel!), the room was huge and gorgeous, the location was perfect, and the ability to have breakfast from the hotel in the morning was great. Cocktails in the lounge at night was a big plus, as were the free drink coupons we received for each day we chose to waive housekeeping. A great hotel, great vibes all around!

A very poor hotel choice.

A very poor hotel choice. No heating in room and extremely cold. No hot water. Very dangerous looking oil filled radiator in room which needed condemning. Food undercooked and expensive. Even manager said standards were very poor.

Very cozy small town.

Very cozy small town. Despite it's size, it has everything that is needed. Everything is accessible via a short walk. The area felt very safe. The beach was nice for a walk as well. Lots of people went there with their dogs in the morning and evening. It's easy to go from there to Edinburgh via train. The journey to Edinburgh Waverley took about 30-40 minutes.

amazing views across the Firth of Forth. beautiful village and amazing country side surrounding. the beach looked amazing though we did not get the weather to enjoy it but you can see the it is very safe as even at high tide the water is shallow a long way out. good restaurants and lovely village. We booked this hotel for an event in Kirkcaldy.

We booked this hotel for an event in Kirkcaldy. It turned out to be further away than we hoped (15 minutes drive) consequently we had little time to look round Burntisland but it seemed to offer little for a visitor in January. Hotel was a bit out of Burntisland and we took a walk in one morning but unfortunately the railway blocked the view and did not allow for walking along the beach

We stayed 6 nights in Burntisland, by the 3rd day, we felt like it was "our town". Everyone was so friendly. Once we told anyone that this was our first time in Scotland, they seemed eager to answer our questions and suggest little things make our visit more enjoyable. There are no chain restaurants or businesses in Burntisland. That (and the cheerful people) is what makes it such a charming town. The Links Fish and Chips was The BEST

The facilities had been upgraded so that was nice although you could hear the guests next door but an old hotel so expected. We had a room with a sea view, although it was behind the road and rail-track, you had to walk 2kms to get to the beach, which we did not mind. The staff were friendly and helpful.
