The house was wonderful, it has everything you need to make the most of your vacation. The kids enjoyed the short time spent there as they had lots of games to play during the evening. Very clean and comfortable (very comfortable beds 😀) and the host very friendly and helpful. Located on the main street the property is surrounded by lots of local restaurants/ pubs with a good variety to pick from. Close to a couple of supermarkets. Accessible to any area around the Lakes for any hiking experience and close to sea if you want a different day out. Will definitely come back at some point.

The property owners are really kind and accommodating. Responded to a query and helped us instantly. The property was in a very good condition, excellent big bathrooms. A washing machine downstairs for muddy clothes. Really well thought through for guests. I have never had these excellent reviews about any other properties ever. It is quiet in central place of town, many shops around if you need anything.

The town of Cockermouth was lovely - we really enjoyed shopping in a number of artisan galleries and taking a walk along the river. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking with wide open views of the cumbrian mountains. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Cockermouth is a lovely town and makes it easy to reach other places at the north of the Lake District. Places to visit Maryport, Silloth, Keswick., Whinlatter. Cockermouth itself has lovely walk along the river and play areas for children.

We were in the middle of nowhere and needed to drive to get to places of interest and to eat out on an evening. We tried to use Uber but each time it stated no drivers in the area. I would not stay in this area again as there's nothing there

We found it very quiet on Saturday and Sunday evening , although a lot of the restaurants were either full or not open. We needed to book in advance. Note that quite a few restaurants & shops shut Mondays &Tuesdays ! Much nicer vibe when the shops were open.

The room was a great size, nicely decorated, with a really nice spacious bathroom. We were on the ground floor and the proximity to the road was a concern, but there was no noise at all during our stay. (Thursday to Sunday). Would happily recommend the Tithe Barn, and will be staying again should we find ourselves in the area. Other local recommendations go to The Cumbrian Baker and The Spice Club, both delicious! Communication from the owners was also very good, with quick responses to any questions I had.

On arrival greeted by a very friendly lady on reception. Our rooms were exceptional, very spacious, spotlessly clean and warm. The very large bathrooms again were so clean they shone. The shower, over a huge corner bath, was fantastic. Great nights sleep with no disturbances from inside the hotel. All the staff were super friendly. Breakfast gave lots of choice and was exceptional. The location was perfect for a stay in this charming market town.

This house exceeded our expectations, the pictures don’t do it justice. The location was ideal; it was just on the high street of Cockermouth, and surrounded by restaurants. Ample and secure parking. The property was beautiful, it had everything we needed - heating was on, fresh towels, milk in the fridge, the attention to detail was excellent. The rooms were really spacious and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again if I pass this way.

Lovely hotel, we stayed in one of the front double rooms and it was fantastic. Lovely views, tall ceilings, really spacious room. Breakfast was super tasty and the service was great. Would stay here again if visiting Cockermouth.
