The bedroom was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The hotel and garden were lovely and the good weather helped us so we managed to enjoy the garden. Andy and Mario are super friendly and great hosts... we felt like we were staying at our friend's house :-)

Clean, comfortable and great necessities included. The scavenger hunt with gifts at the end for the kids was a lovely touch which they thoroughly enjoyed as well as the hot chocolate and cookies. The Christmas decorations were also beautiful and got us in the Christmas spirit for visiting Lapland. Distance to Lapland was only a 10 minute drive very handy.

Steeped in history and absolutely lovely friendly locals👍. Came to the area for a friend’s wedding which was at the town hall, and as self catering didn’t really eat out much as only stayed a few days. Would love to come back and use as a base for more exploring of the area.

We returned to Congleton after a long time away and it was...

We returned to Congleton after a long time away and it was nice to go back. We were visiting old friends in the area and it was great to catch up. All the new roads and houses in the area was a surprise but a good trip nonetheless.

It was just a lovely stay , you need a car to travel about...

It was just a lovely stay , you need a car to travel about and explore beautiful towns near to congleton . I enjoyed holmes chapel which wasn’t far. The food in the Swettenham arms was very nice . Also the. Red lion too if you want basic meals. I’m sure there are lovely walks but didn’t get that far as it was much too cold went I went . You need to be a countryside fan to enjoy the loft and surrounding areas

Lovely surroundings. Staff very pleasant and attentive. Food was excellent both dinner and Breakfast. Hotel Guests seemed happy enjoying themselves also. Very comfortable rooms with everything you need for your stay All in All excellent place to stay.

We stayed overnight for a wedding.

We stayed overnight for a wedding. I personally found the bed too hard and the room was old fashioned and shabby. The breakfast was very good but I object to having to order it the night before as on the day I wasn't very hungry so had to cancel that order.

A very nice place to be, with good facilities close to the Hotel where we were staying. The breakfast in the hotel was good with a large selection of various items. We may well return to this hotel as both the setting and the staff were excellent.

The Lion & Swan is without doubt an exceptional hotel, we spent just the one night here to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The Hotel was clean and uncluttered, tastefully decorated throughout from the reception to the bar and restaurant to our room it all was outstanding. Every member of staff we dealt with were always polite, knowledgeable and were happy to help my wife & I with any questions we asked. Exceptional Hotel with a excellent location to explore Congleton and surrounding areas.

The accommodation was beautiful, spacious and very clean. It was lovely to have such a great space with separate kitchen,living area and bedroom. We had everything we needed, lots of attention to detail. The host was amazing,friendly and professional,nothing was too much trouble. The location was central so easy access to amenities, bars and restaurants, plenty of parking. Best accommodation we have stayed in in Congleton. Highly recommend.

Room was dark and overhead light 'on the blink' (room 7). Hadn't expected rooms to be outside of hotel though not a problem. Very limited vegetarian options on the menu but the butternut squash wellington (only option I think) was very good. Staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
