Quiet coastal town with good facilities.

Quiet coastal town with good facilities. "Gay's Creamery" worth a visit - nice local made products. "Sea Breeze" restaurant and takeaway a great place for fish and chips etc. Lots of small shops with friendly staff around "The Lawn". Good public transport links to Exeter and the other local towns.

Lovely friendly, town with plenty of cafes, take-aways, individual shops, including a great Butchers & Farm Shop. The Wee Bakery Shoppe is fabulous and well worth a visit. Quite a few pubs & bars, theatre, leisure centre, bowls club and very welcoming churches. The train station is very well placed in the town and Dawlish is well served with regular bus services to nearby towns. The streets near where we stayed in Brook Street were very narrow and tight to negotiate as everyone parks in front of their properties.

Dawlish is a pretty and lively town .

Dawlish is a pretty and lively town . Locals are pleasant and friendly . The beaches are clean and the most of the shops are independent. The Lawn is beautiful (although, work is being carried out at present. The ducks and black swans are cared for and lovely to see . It’s a lovely family destination . We love la Cygnerie especially the deli ,lovely meal at the new brasserie The Wild Swan . Co op and the One Stop shop really handy . Green grocers is amazing ,mostly local produce . You can walk everywhere . Lovely new park for children ,a little walk from the town but worth seeking out .

The waterfowl on the brook were amazing.

The waterfowl on the brook were amazing. The walk along the sea wall to Dawlish Warren was a unique experience. The more rugged walk to Teignmouth was equally special. The Reflections Bistro gave us a lovely lunch. The nearby gift shops were also well worth a visit.

I liked that it was easy walking distance to town. It was also a ten minute walk to my brother's house which was very convenient for visiting him and his family. My brother said he would recommend Little Weech to people visiting him in Dawlish. I will do the same. Everything in the rooms was lovely and it had all the home homes comforts and I was able to cook a few meals instead of eating out.

The Blenheim was a pleasant, well located everyday hotel covering all the basics you expect these days from a hotel. A clean environment; a comfortable bed; tea/coffee facilities; tv; en-suite facilities. Was surprised by the 'check-in' system, but it works fine. The staff in the mornings at breakfast were extremely pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast itself was substantial.
