Great location - close to the Cotswolds and Oxford, but better value accommodation. Lovely walk on the Thames path to Days lock. Dorchester has 3 pubs/hotels in a small village - the best is the White Hart for food, but The George and Fleur-de-lys also serve great food.

Convenient for village centre and bus route to Oxford.

Convenient for village centre and bus route to Oxford. Pretty village with good pubs, corner shop and farm cafe. Comfy bed and very clean. Terrible shower and noise in the evening from the pub downstairs. Pub garden needs a tidy up.

A picturesque village with Dorchester Abbey right in the heart with services anyone can join in. The choir and music are wonderful. Beautiful walks alongside the Rivers Thame and Thames, and if you are a fan of Midsomer Murders you will be in your element, quite a few scenes have been filmed here, you can even go on a Midsomer Murder walk around the village. We will definitely return.

It is a lovely quiet village with some nice walks to do and also you can go further afield if you want to visit Oxford. We did a good walk to the nearby Lock and there was a coffee shop to visit on our return that served light lunches and cakes etc. We ate our main meals in 2 hotels and both places had a good selection to choose from and the food was lovely.

Dorchester-on-Thames is a nice quiet village away from main roads. It has a large abbey building and many pleasant walks in and outside the village, including to the river Thames itself, a mile or so to the West of the village.

It was a lovely oldie worlde hotel. Lovely to have sash window rather than Aircon to be honest. And it was good to see a slip mat in the bath, so my husband felt easier getting In and out. You don't see those in hotels nowadays and so you have to use a towel. We couldn't fault any of the staff. Everyone was really nice and kind. We didn't have an evening meal as we ate in Oxford, but the breakfast was delicious and kept us going until late afternoon.

I like the village and the ambiance of the hotel. I enjoyed the meals. We have been on a number of occasions for meals. This was our first stay. We stayed because extended family members circumstances changed and we took opportunity rather than wast the money as it was non-refundable. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were lovely from arrival to departure. My colleague and I dined at the restaurant and the food was lovely, as was the breakfast. The hotel was easy to find, parking available, and a very close location to our destination.

Beautiful village, lovely room welcoming hosts. Dinner. Although menu was limited the pork with fennel on focaccia was amazing! I quite liked not having a TV.. bed was comfortable ( firm) and shower worked well

Excellent location with super views over the country and immediate access to one of the many walks around Dorchester on Thames. Also, easy access to the village itself where we were holding a music festival.
