Dinner was spectacularly good, with wonderful flavors and cooked to perfection, as was breakfast. The staff are trained to a very high standard and make you feel welcome and important. It's class without being stuffy. A very warm welcome, and a beautiful warm and cosy atmosphere everywhere. Rooms were large and all facilities in room were outstanding.

Lovely town. Cathedral is beautiful and very interesting. The riverside is also lovely and I would have liked to walk along the riverside walk if I had more time! Museum is also interesting, and there were some really nice little gift shops to browse through!

It feels quite small and doesn’t seem to have a lot going on and if you like shopping you’ll be disappointed but you can happily spend your time walking, viewing the surroundings and eating in some lovely restaurants and pubs. You can manage without a car as there is a train station which links to Glasgow, Edinburgh and many more places. Also it’s only an eight minute train ride to Stirling where there are lots of shops and eateries. Stirling is ideal if you are into Scottish history and castles. And finally the people who live and work in Dunblane are very helpful and friendly.

Nice high street offering a good mix of cafes, gift shops and galleries, as well as practical everyday shops. Fascinating and impressive cathedral. Entry by donation. Pleasant walks along the river. Rail station right in the middle of town, with frequent connections to Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Restaurants and pubs are great.

Restaurants and pubs are great. The Riverside restaurant is amazing but book in advance. The Tappit Hen has a great atmosphere but The Village Inn was a bit dodgy. The quaint streets and the lovely walk around the river is beautiful.

We all enjoyed our stay.

We all enjoyed our stay. Breakfast and dinner were very good. However more attention to cleaning needs to be addressed. Dado rail in the bar was covered in dust. There was also some food under the table and it was still there the next day. The tv control in the room was greasy and dusty, obviously not been cleaned for a while. My daughter in the next room said the phone was also very dirty. However I couldn’t fault the bathroom, it was quite luxurious.

If you didn’t want to chill as we did - the location is good for the train and supermarket -both are one minute away ! Dunblane is well located for lots of history locations and interesting places to visit . Dunblane is pretty and the Riverside cafe over the railway bridge is great for food and drink .and the shops , museum , golden post box and catherdral are all worth a visit.

The Cottage is a lovely place - on a quiet street right next to the cathedral in central Dunblane. It is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, with a logburner and an absolutely amazing rolltop bath in the bedroom. Downstairs is cosy for TV watching; upstairs is snug at night and flooded with light during the day. Jo was the perfect host - easy to reach, friendly and just all round fab. I'll be back (if it's ever available!)

Bright, airy and very clean accommodation. Great communication with Val, who left some very welcome treats for when we arrived. Dunblane is very pretty, with a fascinating history (which we learnt at the charming museum) and some great walks. It was easy to explore further afield by train and road. We appreciated the on site parking and the railway station is less than 5 mins walk.
