Amazing hotel with ooodles of personality that will put a smile on your face. Service was 100% from our arrival, to showing us the room, dinner etc. we arrived on Mother’s Day unbeknownst to us so busy busy but we were very well looked after and the quality of the meal was amazing. Cromlix is a stunning property, the service and attention to detail was incredible! I was travelling with my children and our room was extremely comfortable and the bathroom simply amazing! We walked some of the nearby walls and also had a bagpipe lesson and an archery lesson. I would highly recommend both. they were informative and also just super fun. we are at the restaurant and had a lovely meal, the children’s menu is as good as the adults. We had a hit of tennis and explored the kitchen garden and it was magic. I would to come back and stay longer. Thank you!

The hotel is in a lovely area of Stirling in close walking distance of Stirling Castle, and about 15 minutes walk from the train station. The staff were incredibly lovely, friendly and generous with their time, making many recommendations of places to go and the best ways to get there. The guest lounge and dining room are lovely and comfortable, and the room was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and lovely toiletries provided (combination shower gel + shampoo & conditioner). The breakfast included was absolutely delicious - we had porridge with whisky, brown sugar and cream, and pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and the coffee was lovely. Will be recommending highly!

It feels quite small and doesn’t seem to have a lot going on...

It feels quite small and doesn’t seem to have a lot going on and if you like shopping you’ll be disappointed but you can happily spend your time walking, viewing the surroundings and eating in some lovely restaurants and pubs. You can manage without a car as there is a train station which links to Glasgow, Edinburgh and many more places. Also it’s only an eight minute train ride to Stirling where there are lots of shops and eateries. Stirling is ideal if you are into Scottish history and castles. And finally the people who live and work in Dunblane are very helpful and friendly.

Nice high street offering a good mix of cafes, gift shops and galleries, as well as practical everyday shops. Fascinating and impressive cathedral. Entry by donation. Pleasant walks along the river. Rail station right in the middle of town, with frequent connections to Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Restaurants and pubs are great.

Restaurants and pubs are great. The Riverside restaurant is amazing but book in advance. The Tappit Hen has a great atmosphere but The Village Inn was a bit dodgy. The quaint streets and the lovely walk around the river is beautiful.

We all enjoyed our stay.

We all enjoyed our stay. Breakfast and dinner were very good. However more attention to cleaning needs to be addressed. Dado rail in the bar was covered in dust. There was also some food under the table and it was still there the next day. The tv control in the room was greasy and dusty, obviously not been cleaned for a while. My daughter in the next room said the phone was also very dirty. However I couldn’t fault the bathroom, it was quite luxurious.

Stayed in the Hydro for the night, wandered into town and went to 3 pubs, Tappit hen was excellent, as were the other 2 - The riverside and the Village Inn which was full of locals later on, bit of chat and a sing song, no drama.

Food was excellent, lovely bar and lots of big wing chair seats to enjoy hotel around the foyet. Great check in, handed 2 hot choc chip cookies, great idea and they were delicious. Stayed in junior suite and lovely bottle of wine in room. Coffee pod maker in room and slippers and dressing gowns. Good quality teabags and coffee bags. Fabulous breakfast haggis was first class. However we will definitely return and get a front facing room. A really good night was had and cocktails were lovely.

Lovely apartment. Clean tidy and in perfect setting. Very quiet at night due to its location but also a perfect location for seeing the beautiful Cathedral city of Dunblane. Owner could not have been more helpful and friendly. If you're lucky you may get a packet of Abernethy biscuits left for them as a welcome. 😁 Ps the bird feeder outside adds to the colour of the stay. Plenty of parks around if you have a dog....
