Perfectly kitted out for all your needs. Has a shower and toilet, over, hob, fridge, kitchen stuff, seating area, pull down comfortable bed and the most wonderful views. Loved the little touches such as freshly picked daffodils, milk and the most tasty loaf of bread I’ve had! Barry and Debbie are wonderful hosts, you have a lot of privacy but they are also on hand if you need anything. Location is perfect if you’re looking for remoteness but also amenities aren’t too far away in neighbouring Dunvegan.

The Cabin was in a great location to explore the Isle of Skye especially the northern part of the island. It is well equipped for all your self catering needs. The bathroom is clean and the shower is excellent and the bedroom is comfortable and has plenty of storage space. The living space is also very spacious and the view out of the sliding doors is fabulous. There is also outdoor seating for a sunny evening!

We were at Carters Rest Guesthouse for 4 nights. Everything about our stay was just perfect: starting the day with a delicious breakfast served at the table and with the best view ever, we got precious tipps where to go to from Simone and Jonathan, we stayed in a beautiful bedroom with a supercosy bed! And at the top: what can be better to finish a wonderful hiking day with a light and healthy dinner and then go in the sauna to view the stunning sunset?! Simone and Jonathan red every wish from our eyes and fulfilled every single one :) Everything in CRG is made with a lot of love, calmness and with an eye for the beautiful things, so we felt really at home. Dunvegan was quite central to travelling across Skye for our various planned activities - whisky tour, puffin tour, walking Quiraing, Fairy Pools and Old Man of Storr. The two shops had enough for the grocery essentials and there were several cafes and restaurants to provide choice. The castle was interesting though a bit pricey.

The town itself is nothing special, although it had several places to eat. I would recommend the school house restaurant only two doors away. Everywhere is a drive, but my experience was that each drive was a pleasure and all the key areas can be reached easily. Plan time to explore the north end of Skye...it's well worth it. I was particularly interested in birding and photography, both of which are of high quality in the surrounding area. I did not have chance to visit the other attractions on offer such as the Castle, although I did call off at Talikser Whiskey distillery, which I felt was worth a visit. I feel for the best of Skye, go north.....

Dunvegan Castle and Garden is a must-visit. Very little traffic and easy to get around. Distances are deceiving because of the narrow windy roads - passing places are an experience! We had a great lunch at The Three Chimneys just outside Duvegan

Surprisingly little there, used as a base for 3 nights, should really have done for 2. Dunvegan Castle nearby and worth a visit. Limited places to eat. Had to drive to get to anywhere including start of walks.

Wonderful little town with so many gems if you take the time...

Wonderful little town with so many gems if you take the time to explore! Check out the Angus McCaskill museum for some quirky entertainment; the School House for a wonderful, hearty meal; Dunvegan Castle for a fantastic history lesson and some great walking paths; Two Churches walk up to the standing stone; and Misty's for a quick bite and some ice cream. Easy-to-walk town with friendly people.

Dunvegan is in a beautiful area of Skye and centrally located with easy access to the Cullins, and Portree. The weather was rainy most of the visit but we still managed to have a wonderful time and see the sights.

John was an amazingly kind host, communicating timely ahead of our arrival with highly useful and valuable information. We were thankful for the provided basic supplies, like milk, coffee, orange juice. The cabins are superbly equipped, lovely and very clean. Harlosh is the perfect spot to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, with quiet, fresh air and stunning views on the bay and its wildlife (seals, birds, etc.). Great starting point to explore the Isle of Skye.

One of the most stunning places I’ve ever stayed! If you are in Isle of Skye I would highly recommend it. The cabin is small but very spacious, you have an amazing view of the water and literally feel like you are alone on the island. The nature, the view and landscape was incredible. The owner was so kind and provided us snacks and everything we needed. Location is close by the Dunvegan Castle. 10/10 would recommend! :)
