Jane and Andy are fantastic hosts. The hut is tiny but very cozy, well equipped and well decorated. the location is spectacular, we saw deer while arriving. it's become one of our favourite spots in Scotland!

We arrived on a rainy day at the beginning of August. Although it was very busy at the bar and in the restaurant we were welcomed very warmly and could check in quickly. Our room was comfortable and the bed very cosy. We had a fantastic dinner in the restaurant. Try the haggis-filo-wraps with Irn Bru chilli jam, they are fabolous. The beefburger was very juicy and the venison steak really tasty and tender. Enjoy the cranachan. The breakfast was also very delicious and was a perfect for the day.

The Caledonian Hotel overlooks Ullapool harbour and the colourful fishing boats on Loch Broom.

First off, the location was superb, and the b&b is set in the family home, so you get a nice, cozy feeling surrounded by uncountable books. The personal touch really stood out, as well as the conversations at the well decorated diner table in the orangerie, with views on their blooming garden, mountains, and lake. They really spared no expense on details in the room, the luxury beds and lining. But most importantly, they are genuine, nice people. And we would definitely come back.
