The Lansdowne is unbelievable value for money! It’s a fabulous find. All the staff I came across were delightful. My single room on the second floor with a great view of the sea was more than I expected - an extra sitting area, comfortable bed, good quality, appealing furnishings, bathroom not recently renovated but perfectly clean with everything you need including a comfortable bath and fluffy white towels. The multiple lounge areas and bar are inviting, a lovely spot to relax with a drink or a chat or quiet read. The restaurant 1920 was also a great experience. Good food, nice setting, friendly good service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Quite simply outstanding. I have stayed previously, many times, at the Hydro and the Grand - the Langham is by far superior in almost every category. The hotel itself is exceptionally well maintained given the age of the building itself. All of the public areas were comfortable and impeccably clean. Room #207 was wonderful - great views, windows that open, comfortable large bed [great linens], excellent recently refurbished bathroom with modern easy to use facilities and nice range of bathroom products. Excellent wi-fi throughout - well done. We enjoyed the food and the outstanding service - the F&B staff are excellent. We were lucky enough to meet the owner Neil who exemplifies the standard of his own hotel - charming, knowledgeable, thorough .... interested in his clients. The Langham has a customer for life!

Eastbourne is a very lively, friendly place to visit.

Eastbourne is a very lively, friendly place to visit. Even in the cold of November we experienced some lovely walks along the prom. Everybody we past either spoke to us, nodded as they passed by. The shopping centre was excellent, and the choices for food were in abundance.

I enjoy walking along the front and it is enjoyable whatever the weather. there are lots of cafes along the front so you can stop for refreshments whenever you like. The town is old fashioned but has a great choice of shopping and cafes etc. It is easily accessable by train or drive, I have used both. I would really recommend The Crown and Anchor, Bill's and The Belgian Cafe, which has great sea food. Beachy Head is a great walk but can be challenging depending on the weather. The Peir is a with various businesses on it, I reccomend The Victoria Cafe, food and coffee are great. A lovely place to go especially in inclimate weather, were you can sit and enjoy watching the sea in all it glory. The shopping streets are being improved at the moment and the shopping centre has a good range of stores. It has one of the friendliest Whetherspoons I have been in, it is always busy.

We saw a great concert in the Congress Theatre which has many good shows throughout the year. There are several other good theatres and in the summer a top ranking Tennis Tournament. The coastal walks are also excellent with Beachy Head nearby for amazing views. Plenty of Hotels of different sizes and costs--lots of good eateries. Good transport links--frequent buses and good train service to Gatwick Airport and London stations of London Bridge and Victoria.

Love Eastbourne. Nice place to go and has many hotels. Did enjoy our evening meal at the Toby Carvery. Plenty to do whilst there and has a flat landscap for disabled or elderly people. Plenty of shops and has good bus service and train services. Has a nice atomosphere. Worth a trip.

We stayed at the Cavendish Hotel on the sea front, not far from the pier which had a very nice tea room. The town centre was 10 minutes walk away with a variety of shops in the Beacon Centre as well on the parade. The railway station was close to the town and there were buses the other end which could take you to Hastings and Brighton. At the time of our visit, there was an area closed off for work which made it a bit awkward to get through, but overall plenty of cheap shops, charity shops, clothes shops and cafes.

Eastbourne has some hidden gems of eateries, TukTuk is absolutely stunning for Indian street food cuisine and Holiday Inn (not the hotel chain) has the best fish and chips. The beach front is always clean, tidy and well kept. Dave the local seagull is always happy to share a meal with you too.

I really enjoyed staying at Seaview Sanctuary where I had a lovely bright, comfortable room overlooking the garden. Richard and Katie were so helpful and there was a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with delicious cakes, tea and coffee available for guests in the conservatory each afternoon. The position was perfect being so near the seafront and a short walk to the pier and town centre. I would recommend the guesthouse to anyone wanting a holiday by the sea in lovely Eastbourne.
