We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Sneaton Castle. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. Everything was well maintained. The attention to detail was very good. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. We dined at the restaurant one evening and the food was first rate. Great chefs here. They even created a special birthday cake which was the best we have had period. I could not fault Sneaton Castle in any way.

the quietness of the area. The rooms were comfortable. The staff and the hotel had prebooked a dinner time for us on the day of arrival but we were not required to have dinner there. The food was delicious. It is in an older buillding which was part of it's charm. It was not inundated with other tourists so was a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of the cities. The proximity to the Goathland train station. the walks on the moors.

We only stayed for one night, but the staff made every effort to make everything lovely. The place is perhaps a little dated for some, however , this is vastly outweighed by this immaculate hotel. The value for money is unbelievable. My partner is vegan and they provided soya milk for the room and a decent vegan breakfast.

Everything was just perfect.

Everything was just perfect. The food was delicious both evening meal and breakfast.Room was clean and warm.Plenty of tea and coffee plus hot chocolate! Definitely recommend pub also had friendly atmosphere.

Instantly felt at home, the wood burning stove was prepared with extra logs to make the holiday. The cottage had automatic night lights placed throughout for your safety. The welcome pack was very much appreciated, kitchen was well equipped with everything you needed.

Very convenient for visiting the North Yorkshire Moors. 2 really lovely pubs within 5 minutes walk of the property. Both were very friendly and served excellent food. If visiting Whitby, the park and ride is only down the road and well worth using. Beautiful Staithes is only a short drive away and well worth a visit. Goathland, we found to be a Heartbeat themed village and, as such, a bit crowded and pricey. Eg a Bothams of Whitby cake costing £3.25 in ther shop in Whitby, was priced at £5 in the Adensfield Stores!

There's guest houses and theres guest houses. This is the top tier. The rooms were great but the hosts were greater. Really looked after for breakfast. Great welcome. Ive been coming to the moors for years and this is the perfect hideaway for an NYMR trip or just to enjoy the Esk. Horseshoe hotel in walking distance, scenic walk there and nice walk to Grosmont. Will certainly visit again.

Fab little hotel in Egton Bridge. Busy, busy place. The food was top-notch - none of your pub grub here. Tip: if you're planning on a visit to Whitby, use the park and ride... works out a lot cheaper than finding a car park in the town. All the staff were super-friendly, as were some of the locals.
