The hotel is located on the shoreline and has its own small terrace that opens onto the Fowey River and the morning sun. The terrace is popular and guests are social there. A tame and rather well-mannered family of seagulls also lives there, and therefore no food is served on the terrace. The restaurant and the lounge downstairs are cozy and beautifully decorated. They are really necessary when it rains pouring from the sky. The breakfast is rich and delicious and there is something suitable for everyone on the menu. The rooms are also comfortable and quite spacious. Everywhere is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The central location enables quick access to shops and other restaurants and cafes. Fowey also offers a lot of things to see and sports and outdoor activities. Leave the car at home! You don't need it, because the most specific sights and outdoor routes can be reached by boat, bicycle and bus. If necessary, drive your car directly from the NORTH highway to the parking area on the northern edge of the city. Don't drive through the crowded one lane city center for nothing even though your GPS suggests it!

Everything. Staff were fantastic. Couldn’t do enough for us. Smiling and happy and they all seemed to enjoy working there. The location was excellent. Breakfast fab and we had a lovely lunch there too. The rooms are 5 star. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Elemis products in bathroom. Luxurious towels, dressing gown and sheets. They even had ear plugs should the seagulls get too noisy. Everything catered for. Fowey is a beautiful location too.

We originally were booked to stay in the 1 bed apartment but the hosts kindly upgraded us to the house for our stay. The whole property is absolutely beautiful, Alison was a wonderful host throughout our stay and you can tell all the love that has been put into creating such a exceptional place to stay. We couldn’t recommend Marners Rock enough and can’t wait to bring our family down with us next time. Perfect location, only a couple of minutes away from the sweet little town where there are lovely bakeries, independent shops and restaurants.

We know Fowey well, being local. The weather was absolutely foul (it was mid winter) and we were only staying one night at the hotel. As a result, we didn't leave the hotel. However, if you don't know Fowey, there is plenty to see and do. Great coastal views and walking, lovely independent shopping, galleries and a good range of eateries. A very pretty town, celebrates Daphne du Maurier who wrote "...

A very pretty town, celebrates Daphne du Maurier who wrote "The Birds", "Rebecca" and many other novels. Town is small with many quirky interesting shops and places to eat. Park in designate car parks as town cannot accommodate traffic - one way roads throughout with trucks delivering constantly.

Fowey was very enjoyable.

Fowey was very enjoyable. We had a lovely day, weather was good and we enjoyed the harbour cruise. Plenty of places to eat in or takeaway. Really friendly pleasant place to visit and stay. Parking at the very top of the town was expensive and a problem for less mobile or not used to hills. However shuttle bus available driven by very friendly capable driver

Lovely place with plenty of restaurants and a few pubs. Recommend Sam’s restaurant in particular! Very walkable, everything close by. 2 ferries to use to get over the other side of the Estuary. Nice walks around local area. Definitely recommend a stay here.

Very pleasant location.

Very pleasant location. Lovely old church and plenty of shops and cafeterias. Parking by council at top of Fowey okay but system not working leaving all of us looking for working pay machines which didn't exist. Next 24 days waiting for penalty tickets before deleting fone pics as evidence for Court appearance that hasn't happened yet. Council's in Cornwall are quick to raise bills and fines and penalties even for tourists whilst awarding themselves pay increases, pension increases whilst ignoring real issues for tourists and visitors. End result empty shops, fewer visitors to pay costs. Higher C Tax bills for shops and residents . Cornwall suffers overall. Anyone care? Nope didn't think so

Beautiful hotel and location. The driveway is fine and not too narrow. Great parking. Easy go get into Fowey and the hotel has an outstanding view of the harbour, especially during regatta with the fireworks. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel so I cannot comment. Pool tables and table tennis. Lovely rooms and verandas to have a drink on. The Spa is pricey but very relaxing and a lovely addition to your stay. Staff very friendly, chatty and helpful. Breakfast staff lovely too.

We had a 1 bedroom cottage with patio, and it was ideal, clean and comfortable with loads of space. A decent size kitchen meant we self-catered for breakfast and lunch, and ate in the hotel restaurants every evening. The food was good and the staff lovely. We had views over St Austell's bay and the large grounds are beautiful, including woodland walks. Another bonus point was finding you can get a bus from the hotel entrance into Fowey. Reception have printed timetables.
