FAQs about hotels in Glasgow

Fun-Loving and Forward Thinking

Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organisations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world class. Not to be missed are the futuristic-looking Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.

Lined with Georgian buildings, George Square is the city’s focal point and the spot for Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. Fanning out from here are streets housing venues for the city’s main love: music. From classical concerts to up-and-coming bands, every taste is catered for.

As host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow is also a city of sport. Scotland’s 2 most iconic football clubs - Celtic and Rangers - are based here, as is the national football stadium Hampden Park. The Scottish Football Museum is also an excellent walk through the beautiful game.

Last but not least is the shopping in Glasgow. Shopping centres cover everything from high street brands to international designers. So when you fly into Glasgow Airport, make sure you’ve left enough space in your bags!

Great city, plenty to see and do. Easy to walk around. Hotel in perfect location, have used many times, would recommend. If you going to OVO or Hydro for concert, this hotel is ideal, you can walk to the venue.

It was a good short stay and although there are a lot of shops in the area in the city centre, I don't know why in the gift shops there is just nothing of Glasgow itself (only Scotland and Edinburgh). I did love the visit to Glasgow's Cathedral and cemetry. But to be honest, for views and scenery, I love Edinburgh a bit more.

Not much of a review unfortunately as I was there on business only for a conference. I have not seem much of Glasgow at all, arrived late in the dark, spent the whole next day at the exhibition centre and left again in the evening.

An excellent hotel that is great value. Rooms were very clean and nicely designed, great location in the west end opposite Kelvingrove park and museum.. Locally lots of nice restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk and the city centre also within walking distance. The staff here were very friendly, attentive and professional and the breakfast buffet was very good. Highly recommended for a stay in the west end of Glasgow.

In Glasgow to see a band and a little sight seeing. Impressive looking hotel, staff were friendly and helpful. The location was spot on for the city centre and the airport bus stopped literally around the corner. Had a quick workout in the gym, compact but had a lot of options. Tried the on-site restaurant North, tasty food and good atmosphere.

This was the cheapest hotel that we could find in Glasgow and for the price we paid it was grand. The location close to a couple of subway stations was great, ideal for getting into the city centre quickly. The restaurant and bar were good value, especially for the location

Location and friendliness of the staff from the barmen to Patricia and Angus at reception. Very nice hotel in Glasgow city centre and even used the 50% reduction at the car park across the road, will definitely use this hotel again.

Nice clean hotel, great central to Glasgow location. Nice quirky decor & easily controlled room temperature. Although a city centre location, street noise was to a minimum.
