Staff were great. New owners very friendly. Stayed here after an unpleasant initial booking elsewhere and so glad I did. Breakfast included and double bed. Clean rooms. Brilliant

We really liked the location and the decor of the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful especially the lady in the reception who understood the difficult situation we were in and couldn’t do enough to help us sort out our issue. She made sure that even when my mum did not speak a word English she will have everything she needs while we had to leave for couple hours. She also sorted out accommodation for us for another two nights, which was absolutely lovely with breathtaking views. The bartender from bar next to reception was also super helpful and sorted out dinner for us without previous reservation. He was polite, joking with our son and making sure that we have everything we need, which just added personal touch to the whole experience. We recommend the hotel anyone who is looking for excellent service, nice, cosy and elegant hotel, great food and lovely views. We will definitely come back here.

The apartment was large and very clean, providing ample space and a comfortable environment. It was exactly what we needed for a restful stay. The surrounding area was quite peaceful, which made for a relaxing atmosphere. Additionally, there were convenient amenities nearby, including a takeaway and a supermarket, making it easy to grab a meal or any essentials.

Golspie is a lovely place to stay & the Glenshee was perfect...

Golspie is a lovely place to stay & the Glenshee was perfect we had a small twin room which didn’t have a kettle in the room but you could make tea or coffee anytime in the eating area, breakfast was fantastic we were full all day. The hosts couldn’t have done any more to welcome us & make our stay as easy & comfortable as possible.

Golspie is a very pleasant town that offers good local...

Golspie is a very pleasant town that offers good local attractions - such as Dunrobin Castle which is well worth a visit, including a captivating falconry display. Walkers are well catered for with the coastal path - taking the train to Brora and walking back along the coast to Golspie is a good day's outing. The climb up Ben Bragghie is a steep pull but offers stunning views and a close up view of Golspie's famous landmark: first Duke of Sutherland's statue. Golspie has plenty of parking and a reasonable range of shops. It is a bit short of cheap and cheerful restaurants. The Stag Hotel offers reasonable bar food but beware - it's kitchen tends to close very early in the evening!

Lovely locals. Didn't go in the pub, but there was one.

Lovely locals. Didn't go in the pub, but there was one. Couple of wee coffee shops and a chippy. Co-op and Nisa shops on the door step. Not the prettiest beach in the world, but I was still more than happy to walk on it every morning. Great wee town, I would move their tomorrow.

Golspie is a small, rather sleepy coastal town with a long beach and a lovely circular walking trail to waterfalls in the forest. From there, you can take beautiful day trips, including along a coastal road (beware: you might see seals on the sandbanks) to the historic town of Dornoch or to Dunrobin Castle and Gardens.
