We had a lovely chat with the host on arrival and sorted out what we wanted to do that evening. Despite rain we got up early and went for a walk on the road heading toward Goudhurst listening to the birds and watching the rabbits and deer. E then had homemade muesli, and our wonderful cooked breakfast arrived exactly when we asked for it. The room far exceeds other hotels in terms of quality and comfort. From tea and coffee selection to toiletries, the quality was impressive. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Room was beautiful and very spacious. The one thing I did not like was that I could not turn the towel rail off and I have a problem with heat but at least I could open the window fully which helped.
