After arriving at the haydock, we were charged £20 for...

After arriving at the haydock, we were charged £20 for geting in our room at 2pm instead of 3pm, the minute we opened room door, we were greeted with a stale fosty smell, we immediately tryed to open window, only to reliese it was nailed down, & was covered in cobwebs, i asked reception if they could open the window as there was no air in room, only to be told it was broken, going by cobwebs its been broken a while, still cant believe they didnt clean cobwebs away, i then asked for room change, we got told it wouldnt be to next day, i couldnt sleep in the room the 1st night i slept in car as couldnt breath in the room, the 2nd day we told them were leaving as the room was a disgrace, no working iron, or hairdryer, the bathroom was filthy, the rooms just not been used prior to my visit, but to not clean the room at all is a disgrace, we left a nite early as it wasntb sleepable, didnt think to take pictures as we were sweating buckets and couldnt wait to lleave, £203 for 2 nights and slept in car 1st night, and left the next morning, disgusting

The best hotel ever.

The best hotel ever. I've been in several hotels but honestly this was the most generous hotel I have ever seen. There were always plenty of room refreshments available. The shampoo and other consumables were all the best quality unlike other hotels. The breakfast was the best I've seen with plenty of options all fresh and scrumptious. It was my son's birthday during our stay and they made us the happiest surprise 2 times: once at breakfast time with a lovely decorated table and lots of generous gifts and once again in the room with lovely decoration and plenty of refreshments as gifts. As said, they made us the best holiday. I can't thank the staff enough. Swimming pool is amazingly clean the area and changing rooms were very very very clean and dry!

Great 1 night stay as we was visiting Haydock racecourse. Very close only a 10 minute walk. Hotel interior is good and staff friendly. Found the room comfortable and clean and air con needed on the night we stayed.

Sadly a hotel in need of serious attention the bathroom...

Sadly a hotel in need of serious attention the bathroom smelt of sewage and the windows in the room are drafty and let in road noise. The breakfast was really high quality and bed supper comfortable but useless whilst insufficient insulation of obvious road noise Table lamp not working On a personal dislike laminated floors and not even a rug Very basic

We enjoyed free use of a lovely swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Both the hotel and leisure facilities are spotlessly clean and well managed. The park surroundings are lovely and create a nice barrier to the roads although they aren’t far away. Altogether a very nice hotel with a pleasant family atmosphere.

Surprising quiet location as just off the M6. Our room was clean,roomy and bright. All staff were kind and friendly and breakfast staff particularly so. Breakfast was plentiful and a great choice of hot and continental options. Could fault the hotel at all! A special mention to the gentleman John who delivered our room service meal. So friendly ,?chatty and professional. A wonderful ambassador for Holiday Inn.

Modern hotel with good parking, friendly staff and all very clean. Only downside was the noise from the main road which was busy all night. However earplugs in and I slept well. Bar was okay, didn't use the restaurant, nearby Tesco & Asda have very cheap petrol.

Nice hotel bit out of the way a bit, a bit more information about local area and bus service etc would be better, nice breakfast, didn't try the rest of the food.
