I booked this hotel as at the time it was cheaper than the two budget hotels. The room was lovely overlooking the lake. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was included which it isn't in the budgets. Will definitely try to book The Copthorne rather than budgets in the future.

Large room, very clean. Spa is really large and my treatment was so good- would certainly make time if I returned for a half or full day spa next time. Food ordered in bar (bangers and mash) really tasty. Staff friendly and also efficient.

Beautiful property in an amazing location. The hosts are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. The property is lovely and very clean. I would definitely recommend this property if you are look for peace and quite but close enough for a city break.

We stayed overnight to celebrate my wife’s doctorate. Played golf on your Lakes Course and was quite disappointed with the state of the greens. But the evening meal was lovely and the rooms we had were very nice and clean.

How can you NOT change sheets for next hotel guests??

How can you NOT change sheets for next hotel guests?? Revolting smell of bedding when we arrived first day. Cold air and water temperature in the spa,very disappointing in winter ,when people are traveling hoping to relax in a warm spa with romantic partner. Very high price of food and alcohol. Polite staff trying to compasate low quality of the hotel with a fake smile. Beautiful decoration and fire place. I would not recommend to travel in winter

Fabulous venue.

Fabulous venue. Great for special occasions whether couples or a larger function (and at least two function rooms). Lovely rooms and staff. Good food too. Added options of vineyard tasting tours, cookery courses. Woodland walks. Not the cheapest but you do get what you pay for.

We went for a couple of days to do a workshop at the royal mint. The area is beautiful and I wish we had more time at the hotel and to explore the local sights. The vineyard tour at the hotel looks amazing and our trip to the royal mint was amazing! Definitely recommend.

I work at HENSOL CASTLE DISTILLERY, and I brought my fiancee down for Valentines Day. And we stayed the night . The food was Amazing I couldn’t fault it if I tried. We both enjoyed the food in Restaurant and the breakfast was delicious too, awesome selection, the room was very clean and the bed was Very comfortable we both enjoyed our stay. Thank you all so much to making our stay safe and comfortable, thanks, Mr Jason Jenkins.

The property was amazing just one minus was we went as a couple and were a bit disappointed with the lounge area as the restaurant views were amazing but the lounge was not up to the rest of the hotels standard but most places only cater for eating but what we were hoping for was a nice lounge to relax after a meal Disappointed with the lack of this but on the whole an amazing hotel

This hotel is fabulous. It really is an old manor house in the Welsh countryside. From the moment we parked our car we felt like we had stepped back in time. The common areas are magnificent. Our room was very large and well appointed. The heavy wood canopy bed was an added bonus.

Entire hotel furnished and decorated to a very high standard. Rooms were immaculately presented. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The spa facilities were great, especially the outdoor heated pool. The nice touch for our anniversary was a welcome surprise.
