Beautiful16th Century house in the heart of 1066 country, with peaceful views across the fields, reached via a rural no-through road, which means a very peaceful location, with a public footpath nearby that goes across the Pevensey marshes in one direction, and to Herstmonceux Castle and Herstmonceux Observatory in the other. A warm greeting and plenty of local information (books, maps, suggested walks) in the sitting areas, and very quaint bedroom. A really great breakfast and plenty of parking space.

Location was good, quiet, peaceful and away from busy city life. Bathrooms were clean and each room had a TV, table fan, kettle, desk, chair & fridge. Staff were very helpful and provided us an Iron upon request. At night the main barriers are put down. This gave extra security & safety for the site, which is very reassuring. Being guests to the hotel gave us free access to Castles grounds & gardens. The children enjoyed the stroll in the morning (opens at 10am).

I was on a one night work stayover, and booked through Booking.com. Easy transaction, and no issues. Arrived quite late, but was met with a cheery smile, from the owner, who ran through all of the details. Room was lovely, and clean, bed was so soft. Breakfast in the morning was just so well presented, and freshly cooked. I have nothing but praise for the owners of the hotel. Its small, well presented, with a homely touch. Thank you..!!!

It was a good location as we were visiting the herstmonceux observatory for the astronomy festival, needing a place to stay overnight and Bader Hall was very convenient. It was also nice to walk around the castle grounds.
