We stayed at the Royal in Heysham, lovely cosy pub vibe.

We stayed at the Royal in Heysham, lovely cosy pub vibe. Excellent accomodation. Staff very friendly, especially Maddy who went out of her way to make us feel at home. Will certainly be staying again when we are in the area. In fact we have already been recommending the Royal to our friends.

the old village is very pretty.

the old village is very pretty. Parking is slightly out of the village (approx 100mts) and very restricted parking in the village, may cause a problem for people with walking difficulties. Heritage centre, small but very interesting. Nice memorial to the Chinese cockle pickers who drowned in 2004. Church fascinating and very helpful guide. Nice hillside walks with fantastic views. Royal pub in village well worth a visit. Friendly atmosphere, dog friendly, good food (slightly pricy but well worth it). Morecombe is approx 10 mins drive, but very disappointing, run down and seedy, which is such a shame as it is a beautiful seaside with a fantastic promanade

We had breakfast every morning, loads of choice to suit everyone and great food. We had dinner one night, Fish, chips and mushy peas which was excellent. it is easy to get around if you are able bodied, Heysham is a pretty little village but is hilly.

We were in the Area to visit a Music Event at the Alhambra Live venue, which was excellent. The following day we had a long walk all along the promenade which was very relaxing with lovely long distance views over Morecambe bay towards Cumbria

My son & I attended the Morecombe FC fixture against Mansfield Town traveling from the Isle of Man. The town is nice but a little run down like many British seaside resorts these days, i wish the council could invest in the appearance a little more.

Heysham Village is very pretty and a short walk to Morecambe along the front with no cars. Many people cycle and there is room for both. The Royal pub has a lovely outdoor seating area and a good menu.

Lovely and clean caravan, everything you needed, good cooker, microwave, crockery etc location was ideal for us, grassed area for walks and children to play, then the sea beyond for watching the ferries in and out of Heysham, very quiet area. The complex itself was good, food and drinks where good what we had, plenty to keep the children entertained 😀, we didn't use the pool, but did look fine, and all the staff where helpful and pleasant. Very pleasant stay 😊

My teenage son and I (and our dog) had a great stay here after he finished a summer course at the Lancaster university, we wanted to stay in the area for a bit and explore. The location is great for walks, the hotel is very dog-friendly and the food was great, both breakfast and both dinners we had on the terrace. I loved the wallpaper in Room 1 :)
