It was exactly what I needed after a heavy day: warm room, hot shower, comfy bed, and a glass of tasty beer in the bar. I liked the thick carpet making the room and stairs quieter. Great having tea and coffee in the room, too.

Staff very approachable and easy to interact with. Evening meal was beautiful. The locals also frequent the bar which is always a good sign. The building had character and history. Room had everything we needed.

This was the third time staying here, I was so impressed the first time that I have come back every time I am visiting family nearby. The rooms are very well laid out, plenty of space and lots of plugs/usb charging points, extremely comfortable bed as well. Bathrooms are a decent size, good shower and I like the eco-friendly shower gel and hand wash bottles. The breakfast is good, with lovely staff available at all times, and there is a good atmosphere in the pub in the evenings

An impressive building, I felt that I was staying in an officers mess but informally. Staff very very friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable. I had a bar meal in the bar as I felt too casual for the dining room (probably wouldn't have mattered) and the food was very good and service good, not a huge range on the menu but quite sufficient and tasty. I wasn't there for breakfast as early ferry to catch, ferry port only 10 mins drive away and even I managed to find it!

Head Hill was perfectly placed to meet our needs, beautiful...

Head Hill was perfectly placed to meet our needs, beautiful sea views, plenty of room inside so we were not falling over each other. Only slight negative was that personal owner items were kept in the property however it was not a big issue .lovely little cafe and bar just a few doors up Breeze Cafe. Highly recommend eating there. Very easy access to beach.

This lovely house is in an ideal location. it is in quiet area, close to the beach, but with easy access to shops in the nearby town(s). Our hosts were communicative and helpful. If we return, we shall certainly try to book the same house.

We would not choose to have a holiday here, but it met our needs for a short stay. We needed somewhere to stay a couple of nights, that was dog friendly, and not too far from my cousin, while attending a family funeral.
