Ideal stop for us for a night, but can as easily be for several nights. Loved the garden. It was great to be able to have dinner there in the evening! Freshly mawe pizza to boot! Spacious room and a very comfortable bed! Breakfast buffet and hot dishes made to order! Mmmmm

Awh it was just fabulous. Just what we expected, it’s an old property dating back, but contemporary colours and furnishings were the theme. We met some wonderful folks in the busy pub at the Island View with remarkable tales to tell. Great atmosphere. There was a pub quiz as well! We had an evening meal (fish and chips, Nachos) whilst there which we thoroughly enjoyed, and well presented. The Island View is a family run establishment which works well and traditional breakfast was very prompt in arriving and staff couldn’t do enough for us. Beds were comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The Island View was ideally situated and really convenient for our planned overnight stay after travelling 6 hours up the A1. We would have liked to have stayed longer and visited Holy Island, but hey, maybe next time. Thank you everyone!

Superb find in quiet village close to Berwick. Pleased to support a community run pub and hostelry especially one with such charming facilities. Room was spacious and very well appointed, bathroom with large walk in shower much better and plusher than any chain hotel for similar money. Splendid breakfast choices, wonderful full cooked English with Scottish twists cooked to order at a time of your choosing. A new treat for us also, porridge with cream and a dram of Malt whisky! Lovely atmosphere in the bar with locals in the evening as well.

Lovely room ( great decor) biggest comfiest bed. Fridge in room to warm your wine 🍷 or cool the jug of fresh milk provided. Best shower I've had in a hotel room, could of stayed under it all day was bliss. I Was the first hotel guest and it was lovely to be so. It's a community pub it's so friendly and the owners are really nice and friendly. Whole place has lovely positive vibes and energy around it. Highly recommend, I will deffo return
